I wanted something to bundle all my "Kindle" stuff for ease in portability, and this case seems to deliver. I rarely use my Kindle2 without the "harder" Amazon Kindle2 case. It provides that added protection of a firmer cover that the Case Crown doesn't (and I like that I can attach the Mighty Bright reading light to the back cover). However the Case Crown is large enough to easily store the Kindle2 with its Amazon case attached, the Mighty Bright light, a pen, and a small note pad (I still prefer to jot down notes from time to time when reading). The Kindle2 power cord and adapter fits nicely in the exterior pocket and there's more than enough room for other smaller items like ear buds, ipod, keys, etc. The neoprene inside prevents scratching, the zippers are sturdy, and the case seems to be quite durable and well constructed -- considering the less than $30 price tag. So far, I have no complaints as it meets my needs.

***Note: There is no mesh netting on the interior flap like the advertisement implies. Not an issue for me; but it is misleading.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Kozy" Kindle, May 25, 2009

This review is from: CaseCrown Double Memory Foam Pouch Case With A Front Pocket For Kindle 2 International (Electronics)
This is the perfect case for my Kindle 2! It has memory foam, so my Kindle is safely tucked in all nice and "kozy". It has an extra pocket to keep both my Mighty Light and charger plug in, but the really great thing is, that it is not too bulky. I can easily slip it in my purse, (I have one of the popular larger bags)and go! I like to read my Kindle without a case most of the time, so I did purchase a silicone SKIN cover to prevent scratching, and also to provide a better grip. But I do use my case at night, because my Mighty Light fits perfect on the back cover providing me with a great night time reading experience. Great price and great product...I highly recommend it for your Kindle 2!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Case for Kindle 2, May 25, 2009

Considering for A LOT of money, Amazon does not send you a cover for the Kindle 2. That being said, this case is really quite good. Originally wanted the Patagonia case which is no longer made. This case is very close to that design and works great. Zipper all the way around and you don't have to remove the kindle to read. Just unzip, open and read. As other reviews have mentioned it does have nice foam padding that appears to do a good job protecting your kindle. Definitely one of the better case I have come across.

What I ordered:
Specifically designed for Kindle 2
Premium Quality Shock Absorbing Double Foam Pouch
Water resistant, Zipper Scratch-Free
Light and slim compact design
Internal supporting bands

Faux soft leather exterior look

What I got:

Definitely not double memory foam... More like 1/4 inch of plain foam and I think that is being generous. Think the case altogether is about 3/4 of an inch thick.
Exterior is not smooth vinyl or soft and leather like. Its made of a polyester woven type stuff with a pocket on the outside.
No interior pocket at all, which is good in this case considering there is barely enough room for the kindle itself. Doesnt appear to give much protection if there is something in the outside pocket and someone sets something on top of the case.... kindle would be cooked im sure. I bought these kindles for my kids so this case is just not going to work.... beware, your not getting what your seeing in the picture.

This pouch is perfect for your Kindle 2! Kindle fits inside perfectly and is well protected. The outside storage pouch is adequate for the charge cable, as well as several other small items which is an added bonus. The corner straps on the inside would be better if they were made of strong elastic, rather than flexible plastic, thus my 4 rather than 5 star rating. For me, this was just what I wanted and works perfectly.

This is the absolute best carry case for the Kindle with a leather cover on it, plus the chord. Well made, padded, and the size is excellent.

Still not enough room to fit my Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 Clip-On Light (Black, Kindle Version) w/o turning it on, but perfect for my Kindle 2 and the Clear Semi-transparent Amazon Kindle 2 E-Book Reader Silicone Rubber Skin Case. The outside pocket is great for the Amazon Kindle *Replacement Power Adapter (fits 2nd Generation Kindle and Kindle DX). *I bought the 2nd power adapter so I'd have a spare for travel. I just spotted the M-Edge e-Luminator2 Booklight for 2nd Generation Amazon Kindle. I think I'll get that since it isn't as bulky as the Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 Clip-On Light.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great case, June 5, 2009

I think this is a GREAT case, and I like that it zips completely shut so that I can throw it in my purse and not worry about anything getting into the case. I also like how it zips open so that I can fold the top back and leave it in the case to read. The front pocket is perfect for the charger and some money if I want to take it to the lake or the coffee shop and need money to buy treats! The memory foam does not make it too thick and gives it that added protection. The zippers work very well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Kindle Carrier!, September 4, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: CaseCrown Double Memory Foam Pouch Case With A Front Pocket For Kindle 2 International (Electronics)
I bit the bullet and bought a Kindle 2 a few days ago and have been thoroughly enjoying it.

I bought the CaseCrown carrier based on reviews for it along with those of other carriers. So far, I am as happy with the carrier as I am the Kindle. The case is fairly thick and protects the Kindle quite well. The carrier is large enough that it will protect the Kindle should I drop it on either the edge or side. The zippered pocket is also padded and is large enough to easily hold the power cord.

The combination of plastic and stretchy straps hold the Kindle firmly in-place, but would allow me to easily remove it should I ever need to. So far, I have just folded the cover back and enjoyed reading.

Highly recommended.
