As previous reviewers have noted, this case is VERY pretty and VERY well designed. It's exactly what I wanted and I'm sure I'll find it very useful. It is not, however, designed specifically for the 17" Macbook Pro, as the name would indicate. I am using a rectangular piece of styrofoam packing cut to the width of the bag and placed on the bottom at the back. When I place the computer in it, I can't use all the corner elastics, but the fit is tight and it should travel fine that way.
