It looks nice and fit very well with my iPad2.

I also love that the magnetic cover puts the iPad to sleep when closed and wakes the iPad when you open the cover.

This case is very sturdy and much better than the expensive cover that apple sells.

It's not fancy nor expensive, but it's exactly what I wanted.

It protects my iPad 2 wonderfully, and it's a great fit. Both cameras, all controls, headphone jack and speaker are accounted for in the design, and I don't think I'll ever have to take it out of this well-designed case.

If you're like me and would rather buy a sensible case without paying the premium for an Apple logo, this is a good choice.

Yoobao Executive Leather...188g....leather..........kickstand
CaseCrown Bold Standby.....226g....faux leather...kickstand
BearMotion Leather:...........291g....leather .........kickstand
SwitchEasy Canvas:...........392g...."canvas".......3 grooves

I've tested the 4 cases above with an iPad2. Each is a portfolio case. You can find reviews of each online. I found good video reviews of each except Bear.

Three of these are "kickstand" cases. That is, the cover folds back and slips into a notch (the "kickstand") which holds the cover in a certain way that creates a stand. One case (SwitchEasy) doesn't use the kickstand but instead has grooves on the inside cover which the side of the case can slide into to create a stand.

All cases had magnets on the cover that turned the iPad on/off. This function worked well with all of them. Also, none of them had any problem with the magnets turning the case off if you flipped the cover around back, as some of other cases do (I had the latest version of the Yoobao, which apparently fixed that problem in an earlier version).

The Bear Motion was my favorite. The review below goes from lightest to heaviest.

YOOBAO EXECUTIVE. A glove for the iPad that was just a bit too flimsy for me.
Pros:
Very light. By far the lightest. It is basically a thin leather glove that goes around the iPad, and then a thin leather portfolio cover. You barely noticed the extra weight/bulk.

Cons:
1. Though made well, I didn't think it lived up to the vaunted reports of "Yoobao quality" that some other reviewers mentioned. A few of the holes on top were slightly off, and I wasn't really impressed with the look of the black leather and the off-white stitching.
2.

I purchased this product to offer a little protection for my new Ipad. Very happy with the fit and functionality of the product with the exception that it does not protect the corners very well. Unfortuately my Ipad was being passed around at a party this weekend and it was dropped right on the corner and the Ipad was damaged. So if you are looking for a case to offer full protection for your Ipad this is not the case for you.

Just received the Casecrown Apple IPad 2 case, and it is perfect for my Ipad 2. First off it fits like a glove, and has a very solid feel. It also turns on/off the IPad when you open and close it. I've tried several cases, including the colored cases that Apple sells, but if you are looking for real protection, your better off buying this case.

I bought this cover and used it everyday on my iPad 2. It protected my iPad 2 well and looked very nice when it was new. I carried the case in my messenger bag every day and after 5 months the trim started coming off on the inside center that was not even exposed to the most stress and the leather texture peeled away. The leather texture on the outside front has also started to separate and appears bubbled and loose.

Good looks when you buy it, but not built for the long run. Not even if you love it tenderly.

As few previous reviewers mentioned, it's a good case, but smart cover doesn't work for 'new iPad (2012)'. Luckily I bought it for iPad 2 and using it temporarily on 'new iPad'. Note that it's not a super thin or less weight, but a decent one for the price and I am happy with purchase. Giving 2-rating for advertising falsely that it works with new iPad without even testing it.

I have several iPad 1's and several iPad 2's, and have purchased six different cases over the past 15 months, including Apple's own cases for each model (well, I mean its case for the 1 and its cover for the 2). I don't know about you, but holding the 2 for any length of time -- reading or watching a movie -- hurts my hand. The edges are sharp and the device starts to cut a groove into my right hand. The Apple cover does not do anything to diminish this, and is less than a great stand. It is heavily over-priced and adds little functionality. I loved the Apple iPad1 case, I hate the iPad2 case. Anyone who has tried both knows what I mean -- the new cover is too expensive and delivers a poor user experience. I was so disappointed that I put my 2 back into my 1 case -- it fits fine but makes the cameras unusable. Other cases fit poorly or are bulky or don't turn the 2 on and off when opened or closed.

This one looks good, feels wonderful in the hand, is easy to walk with and carry, turns the device on and off, makes a solid stand when folded back...basically does all that one can ask for. Quite literally every single person who owns a 2 to whom I have shown my case has purchased one to replace their Apple cover.

Down sides? Well, it's slightly heavier than the Apple cover but I don't really notice that. With time and use the fit remains very tight and solid, but the cover part becomes a bit more supple and loose, and over time I wonder whether the crease where it folds back will be a weak point. Thus far no evidence of that, though.

I had mistakenly ordered the wrong case model and they were prompt and helpful about taking it back and fixing my error.

There is, simply, no reason to buy any other case for an iPad2, many reasons to buy this one.
