The book seems great, and the book that goes with it - New Perspectives Excel 2007 is great so far, but THIS casegrader book is completely useless unless you are actually in a REAL class that the teacher uses this book. The code included in the book will get you through step one of registering, but then you must have a code from the class. I called tech support for the publisher, and they said the same thing. This was not made clear on the Amazon Website so be careful.

The product is not bad you just need to be sure not to buy a used version. There is a code in the front of the book to get on the site and do the assignments in the book. If the code is used you won't be able to get on the site and I ended up having to buy the book twice.

This is an instruction book for projects that you submit through [...] for your grade. You need a key code in order to login the site, but the one on used book will not be valid for your sessions most likely if previous owner or someone else used it once. So, if you do not have your own key code yet, then buy bland new CaseGrader.

As others have said, a new key code is required. In order for the projects to be graded and returned, a class code is also required. Obviously, without both codes, this book is of no value. From a student perspective, the instructor using it is the one who benefits (autograding). So far, I see very little that contributes to a student gaining additional knowledge about Excel.

So, my wife bought this book used and discovered that she needs a new one to get the code, so we placed an order with amazon to get a new one, and when we got it, it all looked new, and the code was not exposed

we scratch the code and enter it, and we get a message saying that the code is USED!

Tried to contact amazon with no luck, and called the publisher and the course port customer service, and after over an hour waiting for an answer on the phone (of course live chat was offline during working hours), They told me to e-mail them the receipt, so I went ahead and sent them a copy of (print screen showing my payment and shipping details as well as auction number to prove that the book is new (along with some pictures of the packing and book) and they get back to me saying, this is not enough proof that the book was new

I feel it's stupid to fight over a code when my wife needs it for her class soon, so I went ahead and bought a THIRD book from them this time with expedited shipping, and I made sure to let them know that I will be avoiding anything published by them in the future at any cost, and would not recommend their books to anyone ever again, it's really stupid that a company this big won't take care of their customers

The book explains things clearly for you to follow the instructions to submit the assignment. Also, within a minute the assignment is graded and you can view the score. The assignments are for Excel and learning the advanced concepts comes in handy when working with large data sets.

If you need this for your class get it NEW... you have to use a inside code for it to work. Also this is good for people who already know some things about Excel. Also this is going to be used to sharpen your own skills because there only brief descriptions on what you need to do.

I needed this to go with one of my books for a class and it was good. Tiny book, not real thick but it is a good book.

I purchased this book not understanding that the most important part of it was the Key Code. I had to buy a brand new book from my college bookstore in order to get a Key Code that has never been used.

If you are taking an Excel class and need this book, you MUST buy it NEW in order for it to work properly for your class. I made the mistake of buying this used from an online seller, and did not realize until after my class started that I should not have done that.
