5.0 out of 5 stars an excellent case for small devices
It is a very good case for devices of it's size. It is well-padded. The flap hides an second inside pocket that can store SD cards, small cables, spare battery etc. The flap covers the opening quite snugly. I use this case for my Western Digial MyPassport hard drive.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice for Iomega. But showing wear.
I use this for my Iomega external drive. It fits perfectly. In addition, there is a second pouch that I use for the USB cord.

However, the case is *really* showing wear ... and it is used only about twice per week. The trim is coming undone and the seams are separating. In addition, it is pilling.

Although this is functional, if I had to pick one...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little case, April 28, 2008

I bought two of these cases. One holds a portable drive, the other holds a Garmin Nuvi 200W. Both are very satisfactory. The sides are padded like a diving suit and one side has a pocket so it is double thickness. That is great for protecting the GPS screen when I remove it from the car and usually carry it in my hip pocket while shopping or in my PC case while working.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not for WD Passport Hard Drives, February 4, 2009

It is good quality and would have been great but it is way too big for the Western Digital Passport Hard Drive. I am looking for something that "fits like a glove" not just a loose padded bag.

I ordered this and returned it within 5 minutes of opening it.

It is better for bigger drives like Seagate.

Hope this helps you.

Excellent value at $10! Protects my Maxtor One Touch Mini hard drive in a stylish and ultra portable way. I'd recommend to anyone looking to protect a 2.5" mini hard drive or other mini electronics for travel or storage. At this price, I'd definitely buy this again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice neoprene sleeve. Serves its purpose well., December 14, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Using this with a 320GB western digial passport essential. The sleeve actually has two pockets, which are visible once you flip the top open. I use the larger pocket for the drive and small one for the usb cable. The drive fits well...not 100% snug but I'm not worried about it.

I wouldn't suspect it save the drive from a hard enough hit or a high enough fall, but it definitely will help protect it from lighter hits and drops.

The blue is really nice in person.

This review is from: Caselogic LHDC-1 Neoprene Portable Hard Drive Case (Dark Gray) (Personal Computers)
Perfect fit for Seagate Expansion 750 GB USB 2.0 Portable External. It's tight (not in a bad way) and you can keep the cable in the front pocket.

Just in case someone is looking!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Sleeve - Snug Fit, December 11, 2008

This review is from: Caselogic LHDC-1 Neoprene Portable Hard Drive Case (Dark Gray) (Personal Computers)
Wish portable drives came with cases this nice. At one time Western Digital drives had a zippered neoprene like case, no more. Just about every portable drive I have fits, an old 100Gb Seagate, the WD portables (including a fat old 40Gb), and the SimpleTechs (Pininfarin design) up to 500Gb espresso model.

The thing that is not apparent from the pictures, the top is not a flap, but a sort of hood that you have to roll back off the cover. So it's a lot like a hooded sweatshirt. The main compartment is divided into two sections - one for the drive the second for cables. Drives fit in, and most will be pretty snug inside this pouch. You then slip the cable behind the drive.

There's exactly enough padding to protect your drive, without being padded. I also have a zippered Case Logic hard case and kind of hate it. It's just too darn big.

You bought a portable drive, keep the portability with a nice form fitting pouch like this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I needed., September 3, 2009
I have a Seagate FreeAgent Portable External Hard Drive (320 GB; it's gorgeous and works wonderfully). It fits snugly into the back pouch inside the case (there are two pouches). There's a bit of wiggle room but the skin is well-cushioned and I don't worry about the hard drive AT ALL. (I've dropped it while inside the case once before by accident; it still works). The front pouch is great for keeping the USB cord. Some people find the fold-over flap a bit long and difficult but I just push at the corners while flipping it and I have never had any trouble.

Cute little case - fits well over my WD Portable hard drive. I would recommend this case to protect your Hard Drive from scuffs and and scratches within the home setting - although a sturdier one is needed for outdoor transportation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good fit for the Iomega 33745 hard drive, November 24, 2008

I knew the Iomega 33745 250GB portable hard drive didn't come with a protective case, so I got this one to do the job. The Iomega drive fits well in it -- not snug, not tight -- and this neoprene case seems to be well padded and built. It can be a little awkward to place and remove the HD, because the flap has to be bent outward to allow the HD in, but that is fine. There is a full length inside pocket on the back of the case, and I'm not sure what could be put in there because it would be so tough to get it out afterward! But this makes for a double layer of neoprene, which I'm quite happy with.
