This review is from: Cases on Admiralty, 4th ed. (American Casebook Series) (Hardcover)
In three years of law school, I've read all the unreadable casebooks. They are all terrible. The Dukeminier ones are the worst. Well, until now!
When reading something in the law makes you feel stupid, it isn't you. Whatever you're reading is badly written. And so with this book. Admiralty law is quirky and interesting, but this casebook needs to walk the plank. It does of lousy job of explaining just about every facit of this subject - thank god it's not a book on pharmacy, or surgery! I even told the teacher I couldn't read it. Worse - there's no supplement! If this is the book for your admiralty class - beware! and Take Care Bela Lugosi. Here's what you do - buy the hornbook from Westlaw. That will give you the overview of the doctrine. |
