SharkBite is the push-fit connection system that's really taking hold. It's the easiest way to join copper, CPVC or PEX pipe in any combination - with no soldering, clamps, unions or glue. Just insert the pipe and the stainless steel teeth bite down and grip tight, while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to create a perfect seal. Disassembly is just as fast using the simple disconnect tool. So fittings and valves can be easily changed and reused. They can even be rotated after assembly for easier installation in tight spaces. Get SharkBite and get a grip on your next plumbing project. This item cannot ship to CA or VT.
Product Description
Check valve with push fit connections. Brass. UPC, IAPMO, and NSF 61 certified and approved. The fitting can be used with copper, PEX, and CPVC, and is rated at 200 F., 200 PSI. It is made of 1 piece DZR brass, which is a noncorrosive, low lead material. Fittings can be buried and placed behind drywall. Fittings are removeable and reuseable. Product is individually bagged.

Great Product for the Handyman,

I was intimidated by PEX pipe especially the $250 tool I thought was required to crimp it. These products work perfectly. I cut the pipe with PVC cutters, de-burred the end, and marked an inch from the end. They snapped right on and no leaks.
I bought and used the de-burring tool. Probably not necessary but I was, as stated, intimidated.

The product is as claimed. Very easy to use and no leaks. Though it is a little pricy, but worth it. I will buy from them if I have plumb works in the future.
