4.0 out of 5 stars Grteat Cash Money Anthology
Ok, lets be honest here, Cash Money isn't about the lyrics. If you came to look for thought provoking lryics or sick rhyme schemes, you're looking in the wrong place. 3.0 out of 5 stars If you like Cash Money then you'll love this!!!
This album is 5 stars for any Cash Money fan. O.K. let me explain why I only gave it 3 stars. First of all I'm not a big fan of Cash Money, B.G. is the only atrist of theirs that I like. Second of all the songs they make are kind of played out in my opinion. With that said this is the best Cash Money album ever made. If you like Cash Money this is the CD for you. I don't...

Ok, lets be honest here, Cash Money isn't about the lyrics. If you came to look for thought provoking lryics or sick rhyme schemes, you're looking in the wrong place. The Cash Money rhymes are very elementary, but that isn't the stregth of this group. Mannie Fresh's production, combined with the funky hotboys sounds do create a enjoyable listen dispite the limited rhyming abilities of these boys. In fact, this record contains just about all of their good songs. Juve's back that azz up, ha, B.G.'s bling bling, etc. can be found here. It saves you the trouble of buying their other CDs. So if you can stand the limited subject and elementary rhymes, this CD will provide an enjoyable listen. Give it a try!

I don't even really own this CD but I have heard all of the songs that are featured on it, and they are the best that Cash Money has to offer.

THey are the hits. But not all of their hit. Cash money has been around since the early 90's . I cant give it 5 starts because these songs are pretty much 5 years of songs from the later years of CMR, when they been around since the early 90's. The all time greatest hits?? Absolutley not

5.0 out of 5 stars don't hate, June 5, 2005
This review is from: Cash Money Greatest Hits 1 (Audio CD)
don't hate, cash money does it real big, this cd is more than hot, and more than on fire. I love allllllllllll of cash money's music, they don't have to have crunk music to cover up bad lyrics, their lyrics are hard, their beats are hard, and plus, this is a collection of some of their greatest!!!!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Paging Kurtis Mantronik...!, May 21, 2005
This review is from: Cash Money Greatest Hits 1 (Audio CD)
The biggest problem with Ca$h Money is that producer Mannie Fresh copied all of his moves from the genius producer Kurtis Mantronik. Fresh, however, has neither the talent nor the resourcefulness that has made Mantronik one of the most important and influential producers and composers in all of contemporary pop-oriented electronic music.

The MCs in the Ca$h Money crew are far from the most skilled, with the exception of Mack 10, who signed a one-album deal with the label so he could work with Mannie Fresh. However, Juvenile's "Ha," with its Mantronik-derived production and Juve's compelling drawl is one of those so-wack-it's-good joints that requires further listening. In fact, all of Juve's joints garner further inspection because of that odd flow (and diction) or lack thereof. The same for Li'l Wayne & Mack 10's "Shine," which is probably the most original Mannie Fresh production ever, even though Wayne's angel-dust-sounding sing-song flow is so annoying that it becomes positively addictive. While fans of commercial southern hip-hop will find this enjoyable, it will irritate heads looking for beats, rhymes, and skills. Almost all of the important joints are here, so this is probably the only Ca$h Money album you'll ever need.
