I tried this today at a local gourmet purveyor of wild mushrooms, it was in a salt shaker at the cashier. I've never tasted anything so wonderful, incredible. So, I bought a jar immediately. I was on my lunch hour from work and I had stopped and bought a basil, fresh mozzarella and tomato sandwich, would this taste good on it? Oh my goodness, it certainly did. A little goes a long way, but this is an incredible condiment to add to your pantry. I won't be without it if I can manage it. Don't hesitate, it is worth every single cent of the price.

I discovered this in a specialty store in Seattle and was immediately smitten. It's absolutely delicious on egg dishes (try it on a homemade egg and cheese breakfast sandwich!) and turns ordinary buttered popcorn into a culinary masterpiece. Here's the catch -- my husband *hates* it. LOATHES it. The smell alone makes him push his own truffle-salt-free dish away because he can't get the scent out of his nose. So now I'm reduced to using my precious find when I'm home alone with the dog. Thankfully he doesn't seem to mind it.

I purchased this product at Dean & Deluca and have been very satistfied with it taste that compares as close to fresh truffles as possible. The salt holds all the aromas and flavors of the truffle. The finishing salt just adds that extra something to a dish that you can't describe without having used it before. I highly recommend this product because it will last and continue to add that something special to anything from poached eggs to bread and butter. Worth the price.

Just got this for xmas and rubbed down our dry aged prime ribroast with it for dinner and it is amazing...I can't stop cracking it open for a littl salty truffel pinch.

I've been using this truffle salt for about a year now, and I can't say enough good about it. It is, in fact, fabulous! You need only a tiny pinch to add an incredible truffle flavor to what ever you are serving. Try roasting asparagus with a little olive oil and a light sprinkle of this truffle salt. While it seems expensive initially, it takes so little to make a big impact, it really isn't that costly. The truffle scent is so intense, you can smell it through the jar. And if you're a truffle lover, that scent is almost better than French perfume.

Pretty great deal for a truffle salt that packs a lot of truffle flavor. Just a tiny pinch goes a long way in terms of flavor, so this salt should last you quite awhile.

For foodies, this is the ultimate. A little pinch of this miracle ingredient, and your otherwise ordinary dish is transformed. We use it for things as pedestrian as eggs in the morning to dishes as delectable as sauteed sea scallops. One jar lasts us about a year.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but the flavor is amazing! A little goes a long way, well worth the cost. I love the flavor of salt & the truffle aroma is intoxicating. Sprinkle a pinch over eggs, roast, veggies... it's liberating. This salt brings out the flavor of foods. My favorite is a few pinches over fried eggs, toast with grape jelly (jelly from concord grapes in my back yard) & a slice of cheese. Comfort food from my childhood. My big fear is that I drop the little jar when it's open!

Recently celebrated my 40th birthday and my compadres treated me to 3 days of gourmet home-cooking. We opened a jar of this Truffle & Salt on the first night and were [all three of us] forever hooked. We put it in everything- Greek Fries, Swiss Raclette Fondue, American Steaks there was no WRONG. While the flavor IS distinctive, it is in no way over powering. Used in moderation, it's a perfect compliment for just about any meal. We even put it on ice cream. -Don't ask. For truffle-lovers, this salt might as well be powdered heroin, for first-timers a delightful treat. Just go for it-- You won't be disappointed!

This stuff is great to make egg dishes special. It does add a truffle scent but you must cut down on adding other salt.
