    Being an avid and lifelong fan of CASIO watches, I'm always on the lookout for new pieces to add to my ever-growing collection. This little guy caught my eye, and after playing around with it for 30 seconds or so, I knew I had to have it. Here's a rundown of the features:

    * 200M Water Resistant
    * LED Light with Afterglow
    * World Time - 31 time zones (48 cities + UTC), daylight saving on/off, home city/world time swapping
    * 5 Alarms (one-time alarm or daily alarm)
    * Hourly Chime
    * 1/100 second stopwatch - Measuring capacity: 23:59'59.99" - Measuring modes: Elapsed time, split time,
    1st-2nd place times
    * Countdown Timer - Measuring unit: 1/10 second - Input range: 1 second to 24 hours (1-second increments,
    1-minute increments and 1-hour increments)
    * Auto-calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2099)
    * 12/24 Hour Formats
    * Button operation tone on/off
    * Approx. battery life: 10 years
    * 235-Segment LCD face with LC analog indicator
    * Stainless steel case
    * Black resin band

    Another nifty feature (what made me take notice of this watch) is the layout of the watch face. Designed to resemble a fighter aircraft cockpit, seconds are visually marked by an "artificial horizon", and the analog indicator looks kinda like a radar screen (having an active imagination helps). The steel construction is solid, giving the watch a nice heft without feeling like wearing a brick on your wrist. It's relatively small size (compared to some of the G-SHOCK and PATHFINDER watches I own) fits nicely under long sleeves and is very comfy on the wrist. The buttons are large and easy to press. Setting and using the watch's features is easy and intuitive, so I wasn't constantly reaching for the instruction manual.

    I didn't want a fancy watch, just one that did basic timekeeping.

    At $28.34, this Casio has failed to discourage me. The time is large in size and can be seen without bringing your arm close to your body. Month and day are shown well, though the Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun font seems different from the rest (and a bit harder to read). Daylight saving time is a plus, and 41 other time zones allow me to check what time it is in other countries before I call to make sure that I won't be disturbing their rest. 5 alarms haven't been too useful, but I'm sure some people can find a use for it (though not for waking up if they are heavy sleepers). Stopwatch and timer work as they should. The mute button is useful when I don't want to disturb a meeting by accidentally pressing a button (which is very difficult since the buttons are placed within the circumference of the watch). Have not yet tested 200 meter water resistance or 10 year battery (only had it for a few days), but I assume Casio would not lie on that aspect.

    Though the following are things which I dislike of the watch, they are just annoyances at most, nothing to hate it for:
    The top-left box which is similar to the altitude display in a plane's cockpit tells seconds in 10-step intervals. I can't think of a single use for it - and the constant changing every 10 seconds wastes unnecessary battery.
    I bought this watch because it was digital, not analog. Therefore, I don't care that the analog in the top-center portion of this watch is very difficult to see without holding the watch half a foot away from you. Again, something that could have been left out to save battery life.
    The light button emits a light which gets the job done - meaning you can see the time in the dark.

    The color of the watch band: black
    Overall this watch is a great buy it looks cool. The buttons are easy to press, and programming is strait forward. I especially like the plastic band, it works well since the watch is water proof(my last 'water proof' watch came with a leather wrist band that started smelling after a couple years). As pointed out by another reviewer the inside is modeled after a cockpit, it is mostly wasted space since it is to hard to read the little clock and I don't see the practicality of the seconds counter(It counts every ten sec).

    Having 5 Alarms is really nice, count up(stopwatch) and count down timers are nice, but world time is annoying. You Get to set your home time zone/city and set three shortcut time zones that you can access by pressing the Lower-Right button and you can press the mode button to inter world time mode where you can press through cities. The problem is all the cities are abbreviated by three letters you almost need the book to figure out what they mean. some times my hand will accidentally press one of the buttons and change the time on me.

    The light is the biggest drawback it is a yellow light and when you press it the screen losses contrast, gets cloudy. It doesn't light up the cockpit very well because it is a single light at the lower left.

    I would recommend this product to someone who needs a world time or water-proof watch but doesn't need it in low light conditions

    Overall - this is a pretty decent digital watch. Has multiple world time zones and alarms. Time is easy to read - however, the top graphical displays are a bit of a gimmick and difficult to read. Also the light on the watch is pretty poor and only illuminates the bottom left side of the watch in all reality. Still - it is pretty well built for what it is and I use it when I need a rugged watch that I don't mind gets a bit of wear and tear.
