I was looking for a cassette player with an external speaker. I wasn't aware that some didn't have them! Anyway - this unit has a speaker and great sound. I'm a happy camper.

I bought this to make portable my toddler's lullaby music, so I wasn't much interested in the headphone aspect. Its compact size is good, the radio sounds better than the tape. Tapes sound really "tinny" but my 2-year-old doesn't notice. However, tapes sound better with the headphones. It's pretty basic and wasn't oversold on that point. Count me as 3.5 stars,...
