There's also a 1/100 second digital stopwatch, auto calendar pre-programmed until the year 2099, and easy-to-use black polyurethane selector buttons. Water resistant to 165 feet, this Casio original is ideal for work, workouts, or traveling.

Casio

With the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.

Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward.

Looks good, works good, feels great.

Prior I had the same watch and it lasted more than the 10 years advertised; the thing that broke was the strap.
    Dandik
This watch would be equally easy to read with or without the light.

I like the look of this watch. It is a little out-doorsy, but still refined. It is feature packed and can be set to show the digital time (with seconds) or the day/date on the LCD screen. There is no second hand on the analog dial. The minute hand advances a third of a minute every 20 seconds. The world time feature is pretty useless for most people and I just set it to match my own timezone to reduce the chance of confusing myself. The stopwatch, timer and alarm functions are all nice. The alarm has a few modes including snooze. My big qualm with this watch is its propensity to scratch. The face is made of soft plastic in a convex shape (bubbles out) so it protrudes more than anything else on the watch. No big surprise, that means that the face takes all the abuse and I've managed to scratch it worse in 1 week than any of my other watches during their entire lifetimes. With that said, I paid $24 (incl. shipping) so if it lasts me a year then it's a good deal. I do not wear it in the shower so I cannot attest to its water-resistance.

I'll probably never use all the features this watch has, but it's nice looking and a good value. The night light feature is not as good as the Timex Indiglo, but I very much prefer the day/date box which, with my ageing eyes, I can read easily, unlike the teeny squares on most watches.

I do sports photography, and I needed a very light watch, with no buttons or other parts sticking out to get caught in the camera straps and rain-covers. This watch is exactly what I needed. The velcro band is so comfortable I often forget I have it on. Great value.

This watch meets all my requirements for a watch:
    - Countdown timer
    - Stopwatch
    - 2nd time zone
    - day of week, month, day of month display
    - Velcro watchband
    - 10 year battery
    - Water resistant to 50 M
    - Analog and Digital display.

There are two things about the vast majority of watches that kill them eventually:
    - battery life (batteries can be replaced, but that normally kills water resistance)
    - watchband failure (watchbands used to be replaceable but now, the vast majority of watchbands are not replaceable).

This watch addresses both issues. With a ten year battery (probably it will last a good bit longer), the battery life issue is much decreased. A velcro watchband is much less likely to fail.

But there is one design feature that I don't like. The watch does have luminous hands and a light. The problem is that the light doesn't illuminate the digital display, and so is superfluous. This watch would be equally easy to read with or without the light.

I haven't take this watch off since it came in the mail. It's a great size, light, easy to read and I love the look of it. It's really comfortable and other then the "Illuminator" being a little dim I don't see any cons to this watch. The Alarm works great and having all those extra features are nice too. At this price, just buy it.

Just needed something to tell the time and maintenance free for a long time. This supposedly has a 10 year battery life. I'm hoping i don't have to bother with the battery for at least 5. There is a digital counter for the seconds and every time you hit 0, you hear and see the analog hand click into the next minute. I think its pretty accurate and cool. Too many functions, i only use the time and the date. The light is a nice feature and the analog hands glow in the dark. Comes in other colors too but i think the green looks the best.

What I love about this watch:
    1. Simple to set both analogue and digital time (don't believe the naysayers)
    2. It is lightweight and the velcro strap fits your wrist perfectly
    3. The hands, once charged in front of a lightbulb, luminate brighter than my Timex
    4. The night light works great and it actually helps charge the hands
    5. The watch is waterproof so I won't have to take it off in the shower, washing the car etc
    6. Dial is easy to read
    7. World Time is handy, as I have relatives overseas in different countries
    8. Telememo for 30 phone numbers and it's a breeze to input the data
    9. 3 Alarms and an hourly chime including snooze alarm
    10. Timer and Stopwatch
    11. The price and the look

So, I guess I love everything about this watch, I hardly notice I'm wearing it
just a perfect work watch, I should have bought this model years ago.

Casio has impressed me always. Aw80V is my pick this year, coz I wanted a dial-style-digital watch. The features are good.. Twin times, Stopwatch, Memory, Alarm, Lights and big readable dial. It has got velcro band which makes it easy to wear.

To sum up, a perfect watch with decent style and excellent value for money.
