Product Description

Editorial Review

Stop using those rickety boxes and give your musical keyboard some pride of place! This X-style design, adjustable keyboard stand from Casio easily changes height from 28 inches to 37 inches with a spring-loaded knob that locks solidly into place. Constructed with heavy-duty steel, it has rubber feet so it stays up--and stays put--during the big solo. The stand will hold keyboards up to 20 inches deep and is 30 inches wide when fully opened.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight Stand Great for Portability, February 15, 2007

I use this with a Yamaha psre303 61-key keyboard and it's perfect for that use. Both items are lightweight enough to transport easily--great for those informal jam session. The adjustable height feature is key.

This unit is stronger than I had expected for such a lightweight package. It adjusts to different heights, but the higher it is, the less stable it becomes. Even at its highest setting, it's still fairly stable, even on carpeting. It was very simple to assemble. The screws and allen wrench are included, with the screws being half-installed in the holes where they belong, rather than in a bag. I am using this with a Radio Shack LK-1261, which is really a Casio with the RS label and model number on it. I'd even recommend this unit for light road travel.

3.0 out of 5 stars 3 warnings!, July 16, 2009

This review is from: Casio CSOPSST Keyboard Stand (Electronics)
This stand is not too bad, certainly light and easily portable, and should fit any reasonable keyboard. The 4 rubber sleeves at top can slide if you need it. BUT beware if any of the following are an issue for you:

1] I was NOT shipped the product CSOGSST, but rather Model MPST, which I think is superior to the one shown. The X is held in place by a horizontal bar placed to span the 2 legs above the crossing point, 3/4 the way to the top. This horizontal bar has adjustable width, with 9 holes to chose from.

2] The minimum height is 27.5 inches floor to top of stand, for my MPST anyway. THIS MAY BE TOO HIGH FOR YOU, CHECK IT OUT. It is a little too high for me when seated.

3] The stand is not going to fall over. However, if the stand is on carpet, and if you hit the keys say in a two-handed chord even slightly hard, it will rock forward and back a small amount. This is a slight motion but might be a little annoying. I also have a larger keyboard stand (too heavy for good portability, a "Deltex") that has a wide 3-point base and this phenomenon is not as present as it is with this stand. I suspect rocking on carpet will be always a minor issue with any stand, but it may be slightly worse with this one.
