4.0 out of 5 stars Great watch for techies.
This was my fourth databank watch in the last 13 years. I am hard on my equipment. Like many before it, it stores simple information quickly and easily. I miss the password function of previous models, but it does what is says it does. With identity theft becoming commonplace, I would not keep any very important data in this watch as it is not protected. The buttons are...

1.0 out of 5 stars Watch mis-represented (Does not have stainless steel case)
Functionally this watch is great.
However, it does not have a stainless steel case as advertised. It is plastic. My son had it for two weeks when it broke. He did a handstand. The Metal band did not give but the plastic did. The pins that hold the band to the watch, ripped out through the plastic on both sides of the watch. It really is not a good idea to put a...

The buttons are solid and for a "techie", it is not too hard to figure out how to enter and retrieve data. It has traditional Casio reliability and accuracy. My only complaint is the lack of adjustability of the watchband, but another one could be installed to fix that. I recommend this item highly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Casio Men's Databank Watch #DB37HD-7AV, January 15, 2007
This review is from: Casio Men's DB37HD-7AV Multilingual Databank Bracelet Watch (Watch)
Owned 2 Data Bank 150 watches over the years, and just had great service from them. I found that I don't need that many phone numbers and do not need the calculator. Just love the DB37HD-7AV and the metal strap is quite an improvement over the plastic straps on the DB150.

5.0 out of 5 stars CASIO Illuminator Databank multiligual watch, January 29, 2007
Great watch, looks great, impressive service (arrived in 2 days), great price. It replaced a similar Casio databank watch with a plastic band (replaced several times) that I'd had for about 15 years, that finally gave up the ghost on the second battery change. The instructions with the new watch did not show how to adjust the links in the metal watch band, but I found instructions on the internet which made it quite easy and straightfoward. I expect this one to last longer than 15 years, and I won't have to buy replacement bands.

My husband has had the same watch for a long time. When we went camping he didn't want to wear it. So the whole trip I had to turn on my cellphone to see what time it was. That's why I bought this one. It lights up and amazes him...so easily amused. Now he doesn't want to wear it camping cuz it might get broken. So I am thinking about getting one for myself even though I don't wear a watch.

The pins that hold the band to the watch, ripped out through the plastic on both sides of the watch. It really is not a good idea to put a metal band on a plastic watch. If you are a couch potato, this watch will work for you. If you are active, either buy a different watch or put a more flexible band on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars great watch, May 17, 2007
I bought this watch for my father and it came with scratches but the store promptly sent me another one. I like this watch and I love this brand (Casio). The metal band is not as good as I expected but its okay.
The only thing I didn't like is because the dysplay is not made of glass is a kind of resin instead which is easy to scratch.

The battery on this watch was drained in only two years. I've moved on to a solar watch, hoping for a longer lifespan.
The watch functions well, just don't expect it to last.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good watch, except for 12/24H button, February 8, 2009

I have to buy another casio because this one's case isn't metal and finally the pin holding the strap broke through the plastic pin-holder (probably my fault). i won't buy another DB-37h mainly because i sometimes inadvertently press and hold the 12/24H button (for example, while sleeping), which causes the watch to change to DST (which is indicated by a small DST sign) and the time increases by 1 hour. so, occasionally, one goes to events 1 hour early (I guess it's better than getting there one hour late). What idiot thought of this - it totally ruins the watch - all you need for this to happen once.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Watch, October 20, 2008

I have had several Databank watches in the past; this is the first without a calculator. With cell phones and all their functions, I find the phone number storage and calcultator features no longer necessary. I did, however, want a watch with a stopwatch and countdown timer, and this watch fills the bill perfectly. The case and finish are very nice and the buttons are solid. The databank feature allows you to store names and phone numbers but I don't recommend this watch if you need that feature. Without a full keypad, data entry is an arduous task. If the display light was bright, blue, and even like the previous model I owned, I would give this watch 5 stars. This light is more of a green color and obviously eminates from the lower left corner of the display. The lighted display is still legible, it's just not as nice as I'd hoped. That being said, for the price, this watch can't be beat!

4.0 out of 5 stars Casio Data Watch, June 8, 2008
This review is from: Casio Men's DB37HD-7AV Multilingual Databank Bracelet Watch (Watch)
This is the third Casio Databank watch I have owned - and I think it will be the preferred one. I found it easy to enter and/or edit names and phone numbers. I miss the appointment feature that is offered on one of the previous models I owned. I also like the large readout - an excellent choice.
