Casio Men's DW5600CS-1 G-Shock Tough Culture Limited Edition Watch

This is a classic G-Shock style that looks great in the various colorways they've offered recently, but a few warnings for potential buyers:

- I own this watch in the yellow band/blue face and black band/orange face. Although the picture may lead you to believe the face is deep orange, red even, it is a highly saturated picture, as I've noticed is a G-Shock trend, and it is indeed orange, with the "SHOCK RESIST" and "G-SHOCK" appearing nearly neon orange. I had this problem with another G-Shock that was listed online and appeared as red, but showed up to my door as orange, but at least the listing for this mentions the "Orange dial". It is a lot more orange in real life.

- The shiny nature of the band, in this black version and the yellow version, seems to open it up to more scuffing. For someone who wears it infrequently and only during moderately active activities (biking, playing video games, going to the bar), I do bang it into things and eventually get a scuff that won't clean off. I have other G-Shocks with matte bands, and they don't show scuffs this bad even after wearing them very frequently for 9 years, let alone for just a few months. The shiny band is a nice look that's sure to catch some eyes, but if you wear it frequently, it's gloss is sure to fade.

I own several G-Shock Casio watches including PAW1500T-7V, etc. The DW5600CS-1 limited edition watch is definitely a keeper. The watch looks far better than the picture on the Amazon site. This limited edition of the classic Casio watch, has all the ergonomics that made G-Shock family of watches famous. The dark black, glossy colour of the watch, with orange LCD screen makes it very unique. Classic, robust but still modern and fashionable today. I didn't get so many compliments for other, much more expensive watches that I bought.

I guess the only drawback of the unique orange LCD screen is that it is harder to read in low-light situations, but this watch also has backlight which works very well in case of low-light. Shiny black watch band is really eye catching, but may be less resistant to scuffs.

Anyway, I think at this price point DW5600CS-1 is a bargain.

This watch is the next best thing to sloppy joe mix and I love me some sloppy joe mix.

first of all this watch is great. its got a real shiny black band and bezel, they do scratch easily but also rub off just as easy. the display is a lil weak but the el is the brightest of all my gshocks. amazon sent me this watch without a tin, i contacted amazon and the company watchzone(wristwatch.com llc) to try to get this problem corrected and both gave me the run around. amazon cust service did what they could but watchzone couldnt have cared less. Amazon- trusted company with decent cust service. Watchzone(wristwatch.com llc)- rude, terrible cust service and will not try to correct ANY issues that come up

This is my first Casio watch, figured I would stray from my normal Timex brand just to try something different. I do really enjoy the appearence of this watch as almost immediatly i started receiving compliments from friends and co-workers. The watch does feel solid and i love the slim profile for a shock watch. Ive had shock watches in the past and they are usually uncomfortable bulky. Now for the issue. For some god awful reason Casio made the adjust button flat as opposed to all the other buttons which stick out. Im not sure if this is Casio thing or a independent feature for this model series. All i know is Timex and other brands i've seen dont generally do this. So in order to press the button down you need either a y poi object like a pen cap or paper clip. The problem with this is the adjust button is probably the most used button on the watch as it controls all the multi fuctions such as setting the alarm and timer. If you are like me and use these functions reguarly this is a major downfall and very frustrating. To conclude this review, if you are looking for a cool looking watch and rarely use multi functions then this is for you, however if you're like me and use the multi functions reguarly either steer clear from this watch or be prepared to always keep a paper clip in your pocket to operate it. This issue has frustrated me so much that I'm already back in the market for a new watch a week after my purchase of this item.

Awesome watch. Pretty much stands out and draws a whole lotta attention. My mantra is "if its a g-shock, then buy it" you woont be disappointed.

I purchased this G-Shock for my younger brother as a Christmas present and he is very pleased with it. The band of the watch looks as if it's patent, but looks very stylish for your average twelve year old. As someone has mentioned, it might be difficult to read in low-light situations, but it is has a green backlight that will solve the problem! Overall, a great watch!

I just got this in the mail today from my brother as a birthday gift and have to say this is the best looking G-Shock I've had so far.

I got this watch in order to have a watch I didn't have to be worried about when I went running or did anything else active. I didn't want to just settle and get a boring watch though. This watch is the perfect combination of functionality and that little "extra something" to make it stand out.

Yeah the band is a bit shiny/glossy but I don't care. The watch itself is everything I needed and everything I wanted... it's great...

This is another great watch from Casio. Their G-Shocks continue to impress me and this takes no exception. This watch is very nice to look at and has received a lot of compliments. The black on the band is quite shiny, and the face is very orange. For me, this is very attractive. One thing I noticed is in certain light the numbers on the face are practically invisible. But, this is actually quite functional. It is designed that way so that in sunlight the characters are incredibly visible, more-so than any other watch I've ever owned. Overall I highly recommend this watch.
