I've been keeping an eye on this watch for some time, and the price recently dropped a bit so I bought it. I don't often wear a watch, but when I do I like them a little smaller, and this one fit the bill. The idea of the battery being good for ten years is great, too, assuming I can find a replacement in ten years that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. ;)
That said, the band is lousy. It's not the most difficult to remove links, but my real complaint about it is that it catches and pulls hairs on your wrist as the watch moves around. Yes, you might be able to buy a different band, but it's not going to match the design on the case (which flows into the band) and since it's not a normal pin-style, it will be hard to find...and expensive.
So the watch is five stars, the band is one; together, that's a three.
I hope this helps someone else.

I love this watch. It's comfortable, stylish, waterproof, durable, and has a loooooooooooooooooooooong life battery. What more do you need in a watch, nothing. Sure, (when) I win power-ball, I'll buy the gold Rolex to show my vast superiority over the plebs; until then this watch will do nicely. edit: still going strong 5 years in.

I had this watch for eight and a half (8.5) years until it stopped the first time. The next thing I did was order a new one ā€“ an identical model ā€“ from Amazon. I loved the first one, I love the second one still.

I nearly always had the watch on my wrist: bathing, swimming, jogging, even chopping wood. Here are some pros and cons I noticed over the 8.5 years of using the first watch and the two years using the second (identical) one:

Pros:
* Large and clear numbers and arrows. Being short-sighted, I value that.
* Very long battery life (battery outlasts the watch, so to say). It roughly delivered the promised 10 years of battery life, taking into account the time it spent on the shelf in the store.
* Robust glass: despite some scratches, it still looked OK after 8.5 years of heavy use.
* Arrows and numbers shining in the dark were quite useful at times.
* Accurate: never had to adjust the time besides the changes of summer/winter time and travelling across time zones.

Cons:
* The sides (between the bottom lid and the top glass) corroded somewhat after some 5 years. It did not reduce usability but it did spoil the look somewhat.

Conclusion: a great watch! That is why I bought exactly the same model again without a second thought. And I will buy one again in approximately eight years (i.e. after the battery dies) if only I can get one then!

Attractive, quality watch for a great price! Really like the blue face and the styling of the band. Some reviews said the band edges are a little rough, while I agree they could be smoother, I do not have a comfort issue as-is. Easy to set time and date with 2-position pull-out dial.

Resizing the watch is a little tricky but only took about 10min following the directions another user mentioned in a YouTube video titled "How To re-size the Metal Band on a Casio Wave Ceptor". The watch band in the video is the same as this model. Like the video, I used my smallest flat-head screwdriver and a pin to remove the link, and needle-nose pliers to reinstall. I had to remove three links ... I removed 2 on 1 side and 1 on the other to balance. Once I figured out how to removed the first link (which took 5 very frustrating minutes), the other links were easy to remove and took about 1 minute each. In addition to the video instructions, one thing that helped was to hold the watch band against a small block of wood with my left hand (making sure not to block the outlet for the flat-pin), and push on the pin with my right hand using the screw driver. This made it easier to stabilize the watch band with my left hand, so I could apply more pressure with the screw driver to more easily push out the flat-pin.

I highly recommend this watch!

For the past ten years my husband has purchased the huge digital do it all watch. They were heavy and he never really used all of the functions that they provided. After breaking his last watch I decided to find him a watch that looked good without all of the whistles and bells.

After researching watches from $20 to $200 I found a review on the Casio Men's Edifice watch. It looked good, and it was inexpensive so I ordered it.

Since buying him the watch he has been very pleased at how light the watch felt and it worked like a watch should, it kept time.

The bad....He said that the date was very small and at an odd angle which makes it hard to see. Also in the dark it was hard to see face of the watch.

Conclusion...If you are looking for a good looking watch that keeps time and you do not need a super computer watch then this may be the watch for you men.

Very nice and attractive timepiece. Only problem the numerals and hands have a very weak glow in the dark, hardly enough to make out the time.

The watch arrived after 7 days since I placed the order, the reason for the delay is because I used free shipping. The looks of the face of the watch is really impressive, however the steel band has a cheap feel to it. The steel strap is not brushed and has some sharp edges to it.
I had to spend $5 at the jeweler to adjust the steel strap. I usually wear it on Mondays since it has the blue face. Monday blues I guess.

This is a great valued, good-looking watch that keeps accurate time, but the crystal is a bit convex-shaped, so it looks a bit like a magnifying glass, I would've preferred the crystal to be flat... also BEWARE of the band as it was impossible to adjust without scratching & denting the band at a few small spots as I was re-sizing it myself (I resized other watches myself including another Casio watch w/o such trouble, think it's due to the large angulation of the individual links on this watch that makes it so hard...) guess a jeweler w/ better tools should be able to re-size this watch properly...
