Product Description

Casio

With the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.

Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward.

The bracelet is excellent, the wave textured face and orange bezel remind me of a certain luxury brand.

Picked this up for $69 on a certain auction website, was delivered a few days later. This was my first watch purchase in years and has opened the door for a new hobby/obsession: watches!

I agree with the other reviews: the orange bezel is lovely and is a great highlight of the watch. I use it for timing breaks and lunches at work. I had put a 22mm NATO on it as well (orange/blue/white) and it looked great, but the bracelet is so good on this watch it feels criminal to not use it.

The watch is just heavy enough and feels great on the wrist. No hair-pulling on the bracelet, unlike my Seiko 5. I do wish the lume was a bit stronger, but aside from that, I have no issues with this watch. Recommended!

Nice looking watch. The bracelet is much too large for my wrist but a trip to a local jeweler...who performs this service for free...will remedy that fast enough. I bought this watch because it is clearly an homage to the Omega Planet Ocean which I also own. It will make a nice daily driver at a very good price. BTW...despite its large size it weighs a fraction of similarly sized dive watches, such as the Planet Ocean and the Deep Blue World Diver. The World Diver weighs 236 gm and the Edifice weighs 153 gm. It will be nice to wear a watch that does not make my left arm longer than my right lol.

Yes I weigh my watches. Yes I need a life.

I've owned this watch & worn it daily for the last year. I've also owned a SEIKO SKX175 & a Citizen Aqualand. I would compare this watch favorably to the Seiko, which has been my favorite watch thus far. The Casio EFM-100D has good looks, is tough,(only one slight ding in the rotating bezel) & it has no scratches on the Mineral Crystal. it runs about 5 seconds fast on a weekly basis. If you really like the Seiko SKX-Series, but are short on cash, this watch has everything the Seiko does except for the name.

I needed a decent watch for scuba diving. After reviewing and looking at numerous models, I came across the Edifice line of Casio. (My other watches are Citizen Eco-Drive and Tag Heur.) This watch is well built, with an excellent uni-directional bezel (this makes difference.) I have worn it on numerous dives below 90 feet without issue. The fact that it's a great looking watch is icing on the cake.

i bought this from another retailer because i found a returned one for a discounted price. this is a fantastic looking watch and is my first edifice from Casio.the bracelet feels cheap i swapped it with a 22mm nato strap and it looks great.I am thinking about getting the blue one with rubber strap also.

The quality of this watch exceeded my already high expectations. The bracelet is excellent, the wave textured face and orange bezel remind me of a certain luxury brand. I own mostly autos, having a watch that I know I can put on without having to adjust the time, and that will keep very accurate time is invaluable.

My Rolex Submariner Date recently failed to wind either by motion or by the stem. I checked around the net and found that $400 was the minimum cost for basic cleaning and refurbishing and another ??? to repair the winding failure. Say about $600 for a round number.

This watch replaces the Rolex. The Edifice Casio is both bold and handsome, just like the Submariner. In addition, the Casio is more accurate. Most of the quartz Casio watches that I own are inaccurate by less than 10 seconds a month. This watch has both date and day of the week displays while the Rolex only has the date. I like this feature and miss it when wearing the Rolex. Especially nice is that the sides of the watch and band are highly polished. This is the first Casio of this style that I own.

The stainless band links are more difficult to remove than most Casio watches. Consider adding with your watch order a Watch Bank Link Remover tool. I already have one. Using one makes adjustment a lot easier or as a substitute you can have a watch shop adjust your band.

This watch is a great value for the money. If I could request Casio to change some things, it would be to offer this attractive watch in Solar Atomic version and put the price at double or triply the present price. I would buy one. It would still be cheaper than fixing the Rolex.

After owning this watch for a week, I found the time error is about a second. This is less than a minute a year. Forget my need to have an Atomic version, now I only want a Solar version.
