Small and lightweight, also well balanced so it does not slip from my hands.

Takes great pictures and has wide mode for both pictures and videos. Video recording is in AVI format which takes up lots of memory but you can watch and edit your videos on any PC without having to use specific proprietary software, also video quality is surprisingly comparable to flash memory camcorders.

Even though I haven't tried "anti shake" feature on this camera I wouldn't recommend using it as it is electronic based and will have impact on picture's resolution.

Last, I would suggest reading the full manual on the CD (142 pages) to learn how to take good pictures in different conditions and how to use advanced features and functions available on this camera.

Pros: Affordable, small, overall descent camera
Cons: Not super high quality build and only descent pictures not great

I'm a professional photographer and do not expect this to act like my pro gear but I also have been shooting with a Canon SD1000 which is the 3rd or 4th Canon Digital Elph I have owned so I'm comparing to my experience with those other little point and shoots.

The Casio is small, feels good in the hand, and takes a fairly descent 10 MP shot. I do like the dedicated video button and the fact that shooting in wide mode adds pixels to the sides instead of chopping off pixels on the top and bottom. The controls are simple and there are quite a lot of settings and customization options. Overall it takes a pretty descent picture. So there are a lot of cameras out there that can claim this. So lets get to some of my gripes that other descent cameras might not have.

The autofocus is kind of slow and sometimes will not even lock in so the picture won't take making you miss your opportunity. Even still when it does lock in it seems to be locking into the wrong spot because about 30% of my pictures aren't in focus where I want them to be.

The flash flashes twice (even with Red Eye not activated). This causes a considerable lag between pressing the button and the picture actually being taken. So 1, 2, 3 cheese and it takes on 4 instead of 3.

The auto adjustment in exposure is also slow so locking in a good exposure is a slow task. There are some good settings for how the exposure is calculated which allows me to control this better since I know what I am doing but I had to customize the settings which I don't think most average consumers are going to do.

I purchased this camera from Circuit City before it went out of business. After a few months the door that holds the SD card broke. It is only held together with flimsy little pieces of plastic. We sent the camera and plastic parts back to Casio and they said "Sorry, the warranty doesn't cover the case, only the inner working parts." So, be careful to look at warranty info. You can find it online. I have 2 Nikon Coolpix cameras, one of which I dropped and damaged the lens. Nikon fixed the camera under warranty and gave great customer service. I would recommend paying a little more and not buying a Casio. You get what you pay for.

Bought this Camera for my 9-year old daughter and she has thoroughly enjoyed it. It is easy to use - point and click. There is a button to take the pictures, view the pictures or take video. It has a nice display screen on the camera and when downloaded they are just as nice. It is small and compact and fits in her little purses. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a camera for a young one that is not too much of an investment or if you just want a 2nd camera that you can take anywhere.

Just as described. Received in good conditions. Since I am an amateur, it is worth the price.

This camera more than sitisfied my expectations. Now you can film video without having to enter the menu, and having to go back and forth between pictures and video. Besides it's lighter than it's predecesor. It's rechargeable lithium battery is great. I'm a very satisfied owner.

I was looking for a couple of cameras for my niece and nephew. I have owned a Casio before and really enjoyed most things about it. When I received this camera and the other (different color) I took lots of pictures and used the movie mode to test the quality.
The pictures appeared very washed out so I lowered the flash intensity but the same thing happened except that everything around the object I was focusing on was darker. Also all of the pictures I took came out slightly grainy.
The movie mode worked well but when I reviewed the message I recorded for my niece I could barely hear what I had said. I turned the sound up as far as it would go, even in the menu section but the sound is very weak!
The exact same thing happened with the other Casio I bought.
If your looking for an inexpensive camera that is so-so all around this may work for you.

This was a Christmas gift for my 14 year old son and he takes it anywhere he goes.
I love that it is compact and user friendly, although picture quality is not as good as our compact canon camera (forgot the model number but had it for years), it's definitely a good buy for the price.
