I am buying my second to replace my first. This is no fault of the camera or manufacturer. I let it get soaked at a Universal Studios theme park ride. If I didn't try to use the camera to 'check it out' and let it dry out, I am sure all would still be fine. This was my second casio camera and I love the metal casing - feels solid. This thing takes fantastic HD videos (720p) - put a big SD card in there and you can take very long movies. The options and quality of still pictures is amazing, and I haven't even tried a fraction of the features. 14.1 megapixels is one of the highest resolutions for point-and-shoot cameras out there. In fact, I thought I might get a little upgrade when I replaced my damaged wet one, but didn't find that many options out there. I almost got the z800, but I think it is smaller and I didn't want it much smaller in size. Wasn't too jazzed about charging method at first (pulling out battery to charge), but I got used to it. Now I will have a spare battery to charge while other is in camera!

I take an estimated 230 pictures a day about 340 days a year. This camera was purchased as a back up to a backup camera. Due to the features, ease of use, picture quality, and Extra Eye-fi support built in, it is now my main field work camera. It does take 2 batteries to get through the full day. With so many pictures taken daily, I will not even consider a camera without a rechargeable Lithium battery. The camera exceeded my expectations. Not many point in clicks that I have owned over the past 10 years would be over 4 stars. This one is an EZ 5 Star.

I wanted to give this camera a try because the price was so alluring! I have been a canon fan for a while and after the flash stopped working after 1.5 yrs on my current one, I thought its time to try something else. I'm glad I gave this a shot because the price ($79) was amazing. I printed some pictures off of it recently and compared them to the ones I took with the canon. I didnt see a big difference. You can tell that this camera is cheap but the quality of the pics is about as good as a camera for double the price. So, if you're looking for a camera at a steal and don't want to sacrifice too much of the pic quality then this one's good!

I'm very satisfied whit this camera very nice shots, very quick, much functions, the only thing that must make is purchase another spare battery, if you make more than 100 photos you will have your battery very low, I recommend to buy whit a spare battery, the rest of the camera is very good and very easy to configure and use.

The camera have many functions, and it's really easy to operate. Although I am far from being an expert in this matter, I can tell, and my friends also, that the pictures are of a great quality. Simple and cheap, the best deal!

I purchased this camera on March 29 and it stopped working on May 10 showing "Lens Error". I could have returned it to Amazon before May 9. Great timing huh?! Contacted Casio and the "Lens Error" is not covered and was told that I could send it to them for repair at a charge of $39 to $299. My purchase price was $79, so it doesn't make sense to take a chance on repairs of up to $299. Takes great pictures for sure, but if it quits working in the middle of an important activity, that's one thing, but to have no substantial warranty on something that from other reviews is a common problem is another. I'll never purchase another Casio because of the lack of warranty. Can't say that I will purchase another electronic item from Amazon either. At least if I had purchased it from Best Buy or another box store, I could have returned it within a reasonable time. A camera should be able to last longer than it takes to snap 400 pictures. My Canon has taken thousands of beautiful high quality pics without the first problem.

It is very good product. The brand Casio in camera is very good. In my life always have Casio camera. I begin with 1.0 megapixel and today hace 14.2 megapixels. Every camera every day is very good

this is beautiful but the quality is not as good what I expected from casio with 14 mega pixels are not real

The best and most crisp pictures I have ever taken with a digital camera for under $100. Buy this along with an 8MB memory card and you can take pix for days.

...We are VERY Happy with our New CASIO EX-Z550 Digital camera. If You carefully read ALL the instructions you'll have no problems. Easy and Fun to use. This camera is s-m-a-l-l, so you need to be careful with it. Would be so easy to damage it. Casio warns You of that several times. We plan on purchasing a few more as gifts. AMAZON handled this purchase in thier usual professional manner, right on time and in perfect condition.

An Update...

We taken about 400+ photos and made 2 short videos with the CASIO EX-Z550 and we're SUPER PLEASED with this purchase. Like I said before, read ALL the instructions and you'll have a great time with this purchase. We haven't had any problems...
