So the idea is to take great pictures without any fuss. That's the philosophy behind the Casio Exilim EX-Z85 digital-camera. This 9.1 effective megapixel camera features a stylish design but, beyond style, is packed with the kind of innovative features you expect from Casio.
For example, most pictures include images of family and friends. You want those to appear best. The Casio Exilim Z85 comes with a Face Recognition function that can detect the presence of up to 10 people's faces and then give priority to the faces of pre-registered people for correct focus and exposure, and an Auto Shutter function, which automatically takes a photo the instant camera shake ceases, as well as a Movie button that lets users easily record widescreen movies.
In addition to the usual rectangular focus frame that is indicated on the LCD monitor, users can choose from frame designs featuring a heart shape or a butterfly, for example. When the scene is properly focused, a clear heart shape is displayed, and when the scene is out of focus the heart shape breaks up. This makes it easy to see when the picture is in focus. To help keep things even sharper, the Casio EX-Z85 adds blur detection technology. The Casio EX-Z85 can automatically take a photo the instant that hand shake or subject movement stops, even without the need to push the shutter button. This reduces photo blur caused by the movement involved in pressing the shutter. The camera will also automatically release the shutter at the moment of a smile or the moment subject blur ceases in a panning shot. A shot can also be taken the moment the user's face fills the frame when taking a self-portrait.

I have this same camera in Orange, I have not had any problems with the camera as the other person on this review stated. The picture quality is pretty good, especially on easy mode, which makes it easy for us non photographers to take pretty decent pictures. I have been playing around more with the camera and am still finding features because it is against my religion to read the manual. I like it and its easy to carry around i would recommend this camera to anyone, except a professional photographer or those who aspire to be a professional but for random memory capturing, this camera works well for me and has for a while.

Purchased this camera from Casio in July, 2009 for my daughter's Birthday. She used the camera a few times and seemed to like it. But in September the camera malfunctioned. When attempting to turn it on the lens would freeze and the screen would not turn on. I returned it to the Casio factory and they said the cost of repair would be $93.94.They claim the camera was dropped which is just not the case.I am very disappointed Casio would not stand behind this product.
