look man, charlie doesnt surf and neither do i. that said, you dont have to be a surfer to love this little gem. its just a touch smaller than the classic g-shock and the band is tons better. its very shiny and just looks great.
on to the module. the buttons are a little hard to press because its a sport watch and you dont want every little thing operating the buttons, right? dont complain about this. you have a tide mode, world time, chronograph,timer,and 2 regular alarms plus a snooze alarm. in that order. plus you have the e.l. light that flashes whenever the alarm or chime goes off and you can disable this feature. youll probably need to read the booklet on this watch because setting it can be tricky the first time around. youll need to enter your u.t.c and longitude to get the tide and moon function to work correctly. no biggie-dont panic! its easy.
the display font is the same size as the old classic g shock but the background is kind of silver, which makes the numbers really stand out. its a nice display.
in the end, you really have a mix of classic 80's tech mixed with newer style and features. plus,its a true dive watch and shock resistant. truly a tough little fella. yeah, i really like this one. i think youll like it too.

i got my watch and it was all good, only thing is i dont know how to use the tide moon watch thing oh well im not a surfer and it looks very good and i just need the time anyways . style is what i got it mostly for so its good

I got this watch in white, the shipping took a long time, but I'm not complaining. The watch is smaller than most watches I've worn, which is nice. It is lightweight and it looks really good. I have small wrists and it fits them very well.

I still am having some trouble setting the "LONG" ... I guess it stands for longitude. Overall, looks very nice, light weight, glossy, and solid.

Update (7/12/11):
I still have the watched, everything is working fine. I love this GLX 5600, and I certainly would buy it again. The money is worth it and you get what you pay for, a nice looking, solid watch. It has been getting a bit dirty though, but a little bit of nail polish remover will fix it and make it white again.
