Folks what do you expect from a portable tv!? It's working fine for me. Common sense tells me, it all depends on where you live. Some areas get good reception, some area don't. One trick, use the antenna and the antenna wires (most wires will do) at the same time. It does help. Compare to other portable tv's, this one is doing fine for me. Enjoy.

This was a gift for my husband. He uses the TV when he is in his truck traveling. He likes it because it is color and small enough to go anywhere.

Keeping in mind that analog television signals will be extinct in another year or so, I think this TV is a bit overpriced.

Having said that,

It's everything you would expect from a battery operated portable television of this size. The controls are simple and the picture is acceptable.

The fact that a protective case for this thing has to be special ordered for an additional 15 or 20 dollars is a drag but what can you do? You either need it or you don't.

The fact that you didn't check to see the specifications of the television is not a fault of the product. In other words, don't give a bad review if it has nothing to do with the product.

I had a similar problem. I bought this TV as a present for someone in Europe and you can imagine what happened when he turned it on. As our friend below says, there is no information about the places where you can play it. Maybe a nice product but I can't say so because I couldn't even try it.

The Amazon review of this item provides a cryptic description of what is included. I thought I would have a plug-in option to save batteries, etc. I didn't get anything described..just the TV! What is described on Amazon is very deceptive. You do not recieve anything other than the TV. The description on the website implies other options are included. They are not.

Now to my soapbox. I avoid identifying websites. I am the child of the little business owner and don't want to put a negative onus on a WEBSITE.

Unfortunately I had a very rude and contentious contact with the "cheapest" seller. This young person could not get that you don't argue with a customer. You just say, "I'm sorry." My father had a small business in a small town and he taught us that is one of the most important words you can say to a customer or other people on this planet. Although he was right 99% of the time, he always deferred to the customer. If he left a free package of matches out of the order, we delivered it (ala I walked 10 miles to school)!
All Amazon sellers, be particular and courteous to your buyuer..even if they are wrong.

I bought this item whilst in Colorado so that when I travel I could have access to a TV. unfortunately some of the places I travel to use PAL signal rather that NTSC (such as Australia and UK). In these places the "portable" TV is useless. I will be returning it as it does not produce the results I was after.
