This is the perfect watch for you if you are on a budget. I like it, though I'm more into the flash of the Casio MQ241E. The upshot is that this is a watch for the people. There's no flash, no digital, no leather band, nothing but a simple watch. For the price, you honestly cannot beat it. The only way it could get better is if either someone gave you the watch as a gift, or you won it in the "claw of luck" game in the supermarket entryway. That's the ONLY way it gets better than this... A true gem...

An almost perfect watch. Simple, accurate, easy to read, unobtrusively low profile (8mm thick), and light weight. It only does one thing, but it does it very well. And it looks great doing it.

I love these things. I'm on my third one--but I'm extremely hard on watches. Eventually, after a couple years, the watchband breaks and, considering the price, I buy a brand new watch with new battery, crystal, and strap for the price of a replacement watchband! There aren't too many bargains like this around.

I love it! I had ~5 watches in my life. Primary reason is for surfing. I need to know when it's time to go to work, or when the parking meter will expire. This is the cheapest watch I ever owned, and also the best (ironic!). "water resist" isn't very clear... but I been surfing with it and no problems yet (couple weeks now). Originally I thought I needed 200m rating (30,50,100m are all inadequate) for surfing (water sports) based on my research on water resistance ratings. But that is FALSE!!! This watch works in the water (ocean!). The watch is light (not cumbersome) and the large face and numbers make it easy to tell the time (without squinting or looking closely). Has no light, but I don't need it. The white face makes for plenty visibility. I am so glad I didn't waste another $60 on another G-shock watch... $8.50 for this watch. Also another great thing: only 1 button. I hate many buttons (confusing/complicated watches). Also, no Alarm or StopWatch/Timer modes... just one mode: it tells me the time!!! I love it. Simplicity at its finest. Last thing: its quite slim, and light. The size/weight is perfect, in my opinion. Very un-obtrusive.

I came across this watch after muddling through hundreds of watches online, looking for just the perfect one for the clinical classes I'm about to start in nursing school this coming summer. I needed a watch that was comfortable, cheaply priced (I'm a broke college student), easily replaceable, with a secondhand and for personal tastes, one that looked simple and sweet. This watch has fit all of my expectations, plus it's comfortable. It's so light, and I can't even feel the band pulling or tugging or irritating my skin or anything like that so I'm pretty happy because I hadn't even thought of the comfort myself before previously buying it. Moving on, I saw a review on here that gave it a bad rating because they thought it was difficult to set the time, and honestly, I would say ignore that review! It's literally so easy to set the time, and it even has the manual telling you how in one sentence. But, basically all that you do is pull out the little silver crown on the side (which by the way don't be afraid to pull, I was hesitant to pull it to roughly at first also) until you hear or feel a little click, and then simply rotate it to the time you want, push the crown back in, and tada! All done. I was so fearful because of the one review I saw but I was surprised to see how it easy it was. Anyways as to durability, water resistance, and all that, I'm not sure yet because I've only had it for a an hour in a half but even if it's not that great, I don't think I'll be upset because the price tag is so low that I can tatter it up in clinical classes, and easily get a new one without feeling so down and out about the money being spent. But that being said, I do plan to check back in for you guys at the end of summer and let you know how It fairs after all the hand washing, and heavy use. I'd also like to mention that I'm a woman and that if you're thrown of by the title because it says "Men's," don't be! This watch looks equally as good on women, it's not to big, it's in just the right spot to be what I consider unisex. I'd even lean on the side of saying that it's kind of small as many reviewers have mentioned. But I think that people with medium sized wrist can get away with it, I'm not 100% sure because I personally have small wrists. Adding to this, If it's of any help to anyone, I wear mine on the 7th hole as someone with small wrists, so I think that for people with medium wrists there's still plenty of room on the band. Overall, I think that if you're thinking of going for this watch you should! It's a great value for a simple and classyish-looking every day watch.

I love this watch so much so that I have even started to wear this one out to parties instead of the other expensive watches that I have.

Everyone of my friends who's seen me with this watch has imagined it to be somewhere around 30-40$ but its so cheap and therefore its a great deal.

Its water resisitant and I can manage to see the time even in a dark movie hall.

It keeps time; what more do you want? You've got a cell phone, so you're really only buying this to look cool and it looks cool. The face is a little smaller than it appears in the picture, but it's masculine none the less. I've received several compliments on it simplicity and stylings. I wish it had a calender, I wish it had a backlight, I wish it had a calculator, I wish it had GPS and could tell me when my scuba tank was empty but it was $10 bucks and it's 3:13pm. Good deal.

Great watch for nursing clinicals! Low profile and easy to use. Sized a tad small, even for my thin (6") wrists and no light, but for the price, it's exactly what I need and earns the 5 stars I've given it! Would purchase again!

I have a ton of watches, maybe 10 or 11, ranging in price from $30-$150. But which one will I reach for every day? The Casio MQ24. Why? Because it is by far the easiest to read, and it is perfect for my casual style. I'm a stay-at-home mom and I live by my watch. The kids have to be driven here, there, and everywhere and I cannot be late. At 11 bucks I won't weep if I smack it and somehow break it (though it seems indestructible!). Since it's water resistant I can give my kids baths without taking it off and leaving it in the bathroom, only to be discovered days later. It's light and comfortable, and it keeps perfect time. The battery is guaranteed for 15 years! My uniform is jeans, Uggs, a long-sleeved tee, and my Casio watch.

If you are reading this review, stop after this next sentence and just make a decision. Flip through the other tabs you have open with the other ultra-affordable watches and choose the one that seems most aesthetically pleasing to you and just buy it.

At the time of this review the watch is priced at $4 ($3.99 to be exact) and is eligible for Prime shipping--all by itself, even (i.e. not as an add-on). I bought this watch for just under $10 about a month ago. At its current price, it's borderline irresponsible to not buy this watch if you are in the market and the spartan style doesn't turn you off.

The watch is nothing special. It is a very cheap timepiece and acts as such. That said, I am remarkably happy with it considering its cheap price.

Few people wear watches these days. I didn't until I started having to constantly write the time down for my job and got tired of pulling out my cellphone. Most people wear watches now more for form than function, as is evident through the garish monstrosities that some men wear these days (and the overly ornate and ultra-tiny watches women wear). Having not worn a watch for many years, I was originally quite torn between analog and digital, but ultimately went with analog for its classic style.

Aesthetically, the watch is nothing to write home about. It is a very simple looking watch. The watch band is made of non-reflective rubber which almost looks like something less cheap if you aren't looking directly at it and are partially blind. The numbers stand out quite well and the face's bright white backing make it almost luminescent in dim lighting (although without the added cost!). You won't win any awards for fashion with one of these clunkers.

Function-wise, the bold letters and white face make this a very easy watch to read. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the seconds-hand does not make that barely audible tapping that some more expensive watches do--that noise was one of the many reasons that I stopped wearing an analog watch some many years ago, actually. It has quite consistently kept accurate time for the month-and-change that I've had it and I expect it will for a while until the battery starts to run down.

My only real complaint with the watch is that the timepiece part seems slightly thick, mostly due to the faux-glass plastic face cover protrudes from the rest of the body and forms a considerable lip. This wouldn't be an issue except that it makes it difficult to fit my shirt cuffs over the watch. Because of this, I find that the cuff winds up shoving the watch into the crook of my wrist and can become somewhat irritating. At that point I usually take the watch off and set it on my desk so as to have easy access to the time still. So bonus points for being a makeshift clock, I suppose.

If the body were thinner I would rate this five stars. As it stands, I would not hesitate to recommend this to a friend or family member for the low low $4 price at which it currently stands. For those of you with paler skin, though, the black is quite deep and will contrast very starkly with your skin tone (I know this because it happens with me). So be sure you're okay with this attention drawn to it since the watch isn't exactly a beauty queen.

For four dollars and Prime shipping, though, skip going out to dinner and buy four or five of these for the same price (or one and spend the rest of the money on other stuff you don't need--you earned it!).
