Combining the best elements of Casio Pathfinder & Sea Pathfinder, the PAW1500 with Tough Solar Power and Multi-Band 5 Atomic Timekeeping, steps beyond its core competencies of Digital Compass, Altimeter, Barometer and Thermometer by adding Tide Graph, Moon Graph and Moon Age Data. And if that wasn't enough, it's also 200M Water Resistant.

	Tough Solar Power You don't have to worry about changing your battery again with Pathfinder's solar technology. The battery is automatically charged by light, either direct from the sun or from light sources inside. Watches with this feature have a solar cell and a special rechargeable battery (secondary battery) that is charged by the electrical power produced by the solar cell.
	Altimeter Use the Pathfinder's altimeter to help gauge the time you'll need to reach the summit! The altimeter checks and displays the altitude every two minutes. The graphing function positions you with respect to your target altitude, while alarm alerts you as you approach your mark. You can manually record up to 24 sets of data with each record displaying the altitude, month, date and time. The measuring range is from -700 to 10,000 meters (-2,300 to 32,800 ft.).
	Barometer Predict changing weather patterns using the Pathfinder's barometer. It takes readings every two hours and stores them automatically. It graphically displays the barometric pressure for the past 20 hours. The display ranges from 260 to 1, 100 hPa/mb (7.65 to 32.45 inHg) with changeovers from hPa to inHg.
	Digital Compass During measurement, the watch displays an angle value, a direction indicator, and four direction pointers, which change dynamically when the watch is moved. After measurement is complete, these measurements are frozen in accordance with the last measurement.
	Multi-Band Atomic Timekeeping Multi-Band 5 Atomic timekeeping is designed to pick up the time calibration signal transmitted in Germany (Mainflingen), England (Anthorn), and the United States (For Collins) and the time calibration signals transmitted in Japan. It will receive the time calibration signal automatically from the applicable transmitter (in the middle of the night) and update its settings accordingly.
	Thermometer A built-in thermometer displays and checks the temperature every 5 minutes. The display can be converted from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Temperature ranges are from -10 to 60degrees C (14 to 140degrees F).
	Auto Light You'll always be able to read your Pathfinder display, even in total darkness. EL Backlights make the face of the Pathfinder exceptionally bright. The watch also includes an auto light. So when you tilt the Pathfinder toward your face, the EL Backlights automatically light up for night time viewing.
	Tide Graphs Tides are the periodic rise and fall of the water of oceans, seas, bays and other bodies of water caused mainly by the gravitational interactions between the Earth, Moon and Sun. Tides rise and fall about every six hours. The tide graph indicates tidal movement based on the Moon's transit over the meridian and the lunitidal interval.
	Moon Data The Moon phase indicator shows the current Moon phase.

I love this watch. It is a massive piece on my wrist, and easily readable (which is why I put away my expensive swiss time piece in favor of the digital readout of the Casio). What you need to ask yourself here, is what exactly are you paying for. The Temp, Barometer, Atimeter and Compass are additional features on this WATCH. They are all estimate readouts, taken using changing atmoshperic pressure and other conditions. The manual explains all of this, and tells you NOT to depend on these features for professional acute measurements. They are approximations. Remember this. The WATCH you are purchasing here, is absolutely accurate...to within +/-20 seconds a month WITHOUT receiving a signal from the Atomic Clock. You should get reception at least once out of 6 opportunities a day, which makes the watch totally accurate (are you ready?) to within ONE second every 3000 years! Now that is accuracy! You're buying a watch...not a compass, or a barometer or thermometer. A very, very accurate watch that can also give you a close approximation on several atmospheric measurements, and also an altimeter estimation according to air pressure. I love this watch. Thing of beauty. Well worth the money if you want a good-looking and accurate time piece. ALSO (and this is a big also, if you are used to dealing with digital watches), the ease of operation and programming on this watch are phenomenal. There are no sub-menus and double and triple clicks to program this beast. Because of the number of buttons, you can push one to leave the time mode...another to find the mode you wish to adjust...two more to eather go up or down making the adjustment, and then simply press the time mode button again to return to the ...(you guessed it) time mode. VERY VERY easy. The easiest digital watch I have ever had. And we all know how tough Casio's are. I think you will really like this watch, as much as I do.

I purchased this watch recently and really love it. However, I have one thing to complain, which is the wristband that are shipped with the unit. Amazon's description states "Resin Band", but the actual watch only came with the cloth options. I have to spent another $50 just to order the "Resin" replacement.

The watch is great, I like the compass feature, the world times, which were very usefull in my recent trip to Europe. The only thing I didn't like much is the altimeter, since you need to adjust it with a known valid elevation before using it or after flying because changes in presure or temperature mess up the calibration, as stated in the manual (but not in the Casio page before you buy it.) The temperature gauge is accurate as long as you remove it from your wrist for two minutes so your body heat doeasn't interfere with the reading. Still a great watch, I love it.

Sturdy, pretty and and very useful. The kind of watch you need if you travel a lot or like to camp.
