I love this watch. It is a massive piece on my wrist, and easily readable (which is why I put away my expensive swiss time piece in favor of the digital readout of the Casio). What you need to ask yourself here, is what exactly are you paying for. The Temp, Barometer, Atimeter and Compass are additional features on this WATCH. They are all estimate readouts, taken using changing atmoshperic pressure and other conditions. The manual explains all of this, and tells you NOT to depend on these features for professional acute measurements. They are approximations. Remember this. The WATCH you are purchasing here, is absolutely accurate...to within +/-20 seconds a month WITHOUT receiving a signal from the Atomic Clock. You should get reception at least once out of 6 opportunities a day, which makes the watch totally accurate (are you ready?) to within ONE second every 3000 years! Now that is accuracy! You're buying a watch...not a compass, or a barometer or thermometer. A very, very accurate watch that can also give you a close approximation on several atmospheric measurements, and also an altimeter estimation according to air pressure. I love this watch. Thing of beauty. Well worth the money if you want a good-looking and accurate time piece. ALSO (and this is a big also, if you are used to dealing with digital watches), the ease of operation and programming on this watch are phenomenal. There are no sub-menus and double and triple clicks to program this beast. Because of the number of buttons, you can push one to leave the time mode...another to find the mode you wish to adjust...two more to eather go up or down making the adjustment, and then simply press the time mode button again to return to the ...(you guessed it) time mode. VERY VERY easy. The easiest digital watch I have ever had. And we all know how tough Casio's are. I think you will really like this watch, as much as I do.

I purchased this watch recently and really love it. However, I have one thing to complain, which is the wristband that are shipped with the unit. Amazon's description states "Resin Band", but the actual watch only came with the cloth options. I have to spent another $50 just to order the "Resin" replacement.

The watch is great, I like the compass feature, the world times, which were very usefull in my recent trip to Europe. The only thing I didn't like much is the altimeter, since you need to adjust it with a known valid elevation before using it or after flying because changes in presure or temperature mess up the calibration, as stated in the manual (but not in the Casio page before you buy it.) The temperature gauge is accurate as long as you remove it from your wrist for two minutes so your body heat doeasn't interfere with the reading. Still a great watch, I love it.

Sturdy, pretty and and very useful. The kind of watch you need if you travel a lot or like to camp.

I bought and returned the Casio PAW2000 Pathfinder. It was uncomfortable and just looked really cheap. This watch is much more comfortable and looks great. It's also very easy to use and quite accurate. Highly recommended!

Excellent watch, lots of features. Very accurate in his functions. I'm 5'5" and the watch looks great in my wrist...best watch ever! Lightweight, easy to ready, ABC functions. I hope Casio make more of these in a lot of more colors. Perfect for travelers!!

This has to be the sweetest watch I've ever bought...... The special edition colors are sweet..... I took it on a plane and it showed the Altimeter of the plane.... Soo cool

I just got this model this week and right out of the box love it. I did research on the models, including sizing up the older models, bands and features and this was the one. I really liked the analog watch model but thought there may be a maintenance issue with the usage of one of the hands moving back and forth to display the various readings that this model does digitally.

One of the reasons for the selection was the band. The resin band seemed too stiff and anticipated chaffing with heat and perspiration. The titanium was the second choice and looks nice but band replacement is $100+. The 1500T was my second choice. The band on this model is reinforced fabric with many adjustment holes so is the right choice for me. Also included is an additional strap of a sort to use outside of clothing. I think the watch band could be replaced without it being a Pathfinder strap.

The watch including case and strap looks black which is great. Watch itself is large but I expected that. I like that there are so many features aside from time/date and alarms. If you were on a hike and lost your way, this would be a big help for the direction you were going, altitude and impending bad weather. Waterproof level beat out the 2000 model. Tide and moon phase is on this one and not on the 2000 model. When I put the features together with the solar re-charging and atomic time check, this was the one for me. There are other watches like Tissot with similar features but they did not include solar and atomic.

This is with out a doubt the best Casio that I have purchase. I have 7 just so you know. It attracts the eye of every one. This is Excellent and a must for all the Casio lovers.

I am very pleased with this time piece. It takes a few minutes to get it set up, but after that its easy to use. The barometer is dead on. I live within a mile of the ocean, and the weather changes constantly. The barometer hasn't been wrong yet. Great watch!

My husband is very tough on watches. This watch holds up well and has everything he needs. The barometer and temperature are very important in his line of work. He shoots long ranges and depends on his watch for accuracy.
