Product Description

Casio

With the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.

Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward.

So far, the watch is everything I expected it to be. A little reading of the manual (not nearly as difficult as some have suggested in their comments) and I was ready to go. It looks great, keeps perfect time (atomic time setting works flawlessly), and all functions work as advertised. The barometer, thermometer, altimeter, and compass are all reasonably accurate (if you take the watch off and set it on a level surface for a few minutes). I have absolutely no complaints. If it continues to work as it does now, I'll revisit this rating and upgrade it to 5 stars. I would recommend this watch to anyone who wants a stylish, rugged, and function-rich quality watch.

Great all around watch. The beige color goes with most attires and actually looks much better than black band.
Functions are fairly easy to navigate and had no issue with the manual. I am just concerned that I wont be able to find replacement band of the same color if I need one.

I have been looking for a watch that would be rugged enough to handle any of my outdoor activities, yet still provide compass, altimarer and barometer functions when needed. I also required illumination so it could be easily read and a second hand to measure pulse rates, etc. I looked at watches ranging from a few thousand to a hundred. I finally pulled the plug and purchased this while it was on sale.
I like it a lot. I actually enjoy taking off the Rolex I've been wearing for almost 30 years and putting this watch on. IA word of caution, it comes with a 90 page instructio manual. But it is fairly intuitive after you have worked with it for a while. I another word of caution, if you are more interested in the functions than the time, look at something else.
    I happily recommend the watch.

Excellent. My watches run the gamut from the first LED digital to a Rolex Oyster Quartz. I wanted to replace an older Pathfinder who's battery finally died. I appreciate the analog display. It shows the progress of the day better than pure digital however the smaller digital display defaults to the date and day. My only request is a way to make the digital time the default.

I have 16 Casio watches (all atomic and 8 of them G-Shocks). So if you feel my review is biased, you would be right. I keep reading that the altimeter/barometer and temperature sensors are not accurate. That is correct. These are wrist watches and not laboratory instruments. AND yes the manual is small but understand why. It is a 100 page manual in several languages and has to be small enough to fit in the box the watch comes with. My suggestion is to do what I have done with every Casio I own. I download the manual, enlarge the print size and print it out.
You may want to read the manual before you buy the watch to see what you are letting yourself in for.
I hope this review is helpful to those of you that are looking to purchase this watch, and just a final note of caution. Programming this watch is not for the faint of heart!!!

Great look and the band is great- love the soft silicone feel. Operation is fairly easy, manual is not as complicated as I read in prior reviews. Great quality for the money.
