4.0 out of 5 stars Good CD Player For the Price
This CD Player is a great player for the price. It has great features such as the 20 song programmable memory and the 40 second anti shock. The memory works great and it allows me to program the playlist I want for a jog or a car trip. The 40 second anti shock works well for small bumps such as ones in a car, but does not work well for ones you would experience while...

2.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
I've owned this CD player for 5 months. It used to work fine. A little slow, but fine. Now it is a real cause for celebration when it plays a CD, which is about 30% of the time. I put in a CD and it flashes "Er" which I assume means error. Sometimes it works on the second try, other times it needs a 24 hour rest. It was never dropped, exposed to heat, cold or...

4.0 out of 5 stars Good CD Player For the Price, October 2, 2000

This CD Player is a great player for the price. It has great features such as the 20 song programmable memory and the 40 second anti shock. The memory works great and it allows me to program the playlist I want for a jog or a car trip. The 40 second anti shock works well for small bumps such as ones in a car, but does not work well for ones you would experience while jogging. It plays smoothly for about 10 seconds while running, but begins to skip after that. Another thing I like about this player is its cool design. It has a transparent blue color case that allows you to see the cd while it plays. This player also plays burned CD's very well. The headphones on this player are not tremendous. The sound is allright but the headphones are almost impossible to get to stay on your head while doing any physical activity. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a quality cd player without the high price. If you are looking for anti-skip protection while jogging I would look elsewhere.

PROS:

20 Track Programmable Memory

Anti Skip Protection

Cool Design

Price

Plays Burned CD's Well

CONS:

Headphones

Skip protection while jogging

4.0 out of 5 stars A solid product, November 2, 2000
This review is from: Casio PZ4000B Blue Portable CD Player with Car Kit and 40-Second Anti-Shock (Electronics)
Well the Casio CD player turned out as I expected it to be a decently good CD player. I could never decide between the Koss CD player and the Casio one but i liked what I heard about the Casio player. It has all the necessary features programmable memory, a nice power save feature (the Koss product doesnt), suprisingly nice headphones and a solid anti-skip system. It also has a very nice design. It did play the burned CDs' I had although it does say in the manuel it is'nt compatable with all CD-R's. And the Car kit was an added value. Now why did I give it 4 stars, well because there are just as good values or even better in the local stores. There are CD players that are fully CD-R compatable and with longer battery life (up to 29 hours) for almost the same price with a car kit too. Price Ranges were from 59.99 to 69.99 for CD players that were superior in Brand (like RCA, Panasonic, Aiwa). Overall though this is a well built discman with a very nice design. I only wished I wouldve shopped around because for the price of this product with shipping I could of found a slightly supperior product without the wait time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Macho COOL.......Not your Girllie Blue CD Player, September 12, 2000

This review is from: Casio PZ4000B Blue Portable CD Player with Car Kit and 40-Second Anti-Shock (Electronics)
I bought this CD Player for my son, who is in Elementary school, for the bus ride home. He was mad at first, because we bought him the "WRONG ONE!!", he wanted the Koss product that is similar in color, but after some persuation, he took the player to school. It has been a few weeks now and he is apparently a trend setter for not having the exact same player as the rest of the kids at school, and apparently the player sounds better, and has some great features that the Koss product doesn't have, like auto power off (Which will save us money on batteries), and better headphones (He hasn't broken them yet). Needless to say, but my son is very happy with the "Wrong One!!"

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost Perfect!, October 28, 2000
By A Customer
This is my second cd player and it looks, plays, and handles better than my last one. About the only problem I can can find is that it is alittle slow to start up. Since there is no on off button it has an automatic off and turns on when you press play.

PROS:

ac adapter, buttons are easy, design, headphones, and anti-shock

CONS:

speed

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, January 6, 2001

This is where you stop! No more looking around! This player has clear sound, and to test the anti-shock thing I would hit it, slap it and one time it fell off my desk and did not skip one beat and not a scratch on it!

I put in a CD and it flashes "Er" which I assume means error. Sometimes it works on the second try, other times it needs a 24 hour rest. It was never dropped, exposed to heat, cold or any such thing. It just stopped working one day. Saving $10 is not worth this headache. I should have known from the price that this was a piece of junk.

4.0 out of 5 stars All in all, a good value., October 1, 2001
By
I bought mine so that I can listen to CDs when I go to the gym. I like the fact that it has AntiShock, and 40 seconds of it at that. I workout with it and have yet to get it to skip.
My only complaint is that the headphone seem flimsey and don't handle the base that well, but I have found that most personal music players come with cheap headphones.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Nice Unit for the Price., April 21, 2001
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Casio PZ4000B Blue Portable CD Player with Car Kit and 40-Second Anti-Shock (Electronics)
This is a very nice unit, particularly when you consider its price. It works and sounds great both in my car and as a hand-held portable. Anti-shock works very well, and in order for a CD to skip, this thing pretty much has to go flying in the car or dropped. If you are looking for an inexpensive portable CD player which you can use in your car, with very good sound quality, I can highly recommend this Casio unit.

The CD player is excellent. The 40 seconds digital shock guard is the best. You could hit it and drop it and it will not skip. The Bass boost is great. Light weight and easy to use. This is the best CD player to get if you are getting one.
