Touch-Sensitive Lighted Keyboard
The LK-220 features 61 piano-style keys with 48-note polyphony. The "LK" in LK-220 stands for "Lighted Keyboard." Designed to provide a fun way to learn how to play music, the keys illuminate to show you what notes to play in lessons or built-in songs.
400 Built-In Tones
Find just the right sound with 400 built-in tones, from strings to woodwinds and plenty more.
Ten Reverb Effects
Select from ten different reverb effects to add depth to your performance.
USB Port
For many musicians, the computer has become a music-making center. Connect the LK-220 to a computer using a USB cable and exchange MIDI data between the two devices. Send play data from the keyboard to music software running on your computer, or send MIDI data from your computer to the keyboard for playback.
150 Built-In Rhythms
The LK-220 comes with a wealth of built-in rhythm patterns, from latin to rock. Auto Accompaniment features include Start/Stop, Intro, Normal/Fill-In, Variation/Fill-In, and Synchro/Ending.
Step Up Lessons
To master a song, it is best to break it up into shorter parts (phrases), master the phrases, and then put everything together. The LK-220 features a "Step Up Lesson" feature that helps you to do just that. The built-in songs are pre-divided into phrases to help you master keyboard play. Step Up Lesson takes you through practice of the right hand part, left hand part, and both hand parts for each phrase of a song. Master all of the phrases and you master the song.
Transpose Function
An easy operation instantly changes the key of the keyboard.
Audio Input
Play along with MP3 or CD players or other devices by plugging them into the stereo mini input jack.
Battery or AC Power
Power the LK-220 with six AA-sized batteries or purchase a separate AC adapter to power from your electrical outlets. Built-in 2 x 2W speakers make the keyboard entirely portable.
Built-In Sampling
You can use the Digital Keyboard to sample a sound from a microphone, and then play the sound with keyboard keys. For example, you could sample the bark of your dog and then use the sound in a melody. The sampling feature is a great way to create new sounds that are highly creative.
Note: Samples are not stored permanently. Turning off power will cause any sampled sound data on the keyboard to be deleted.

Great keyboard for a beginner.,
By william (Arizona) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Casio LK-220 Personal Lighted Keyboard, 61-Key, with MP3 Connection, USB Port, and 400 Tones (Electronics)
I absolutely love this keyboard. The built-in "song trainer" is quite helpful, teaching you the song one hand at a time and then both hands. While the built-in songs are your typical public-domain fare (e.g. Canon in D, Turkey in the Straw, Ode to Joy, etc.), they are still fun to learn and play. The USB port on the piano also lets me plug the keyboard into my MacBook with a USB cable (not included) and play/record music in GarageBand. Also, I've been shopping around and it's hard to find a beginner's keyboard with touch-sensitive keys at this price.
I take away one star due to the misleading picture. I want to note that while the Amazon image shows a keyboard stand, an AC adapter, and headphones with connector adapter, this model number of the LK220 does not include *any* of those items. Only the keyboard came in the package. Only packages with the model number LK220 PPK and LK220 AD include at least an AC adapter. This meant that I had to run on AA batteries until my AC adapter came in. But I got the keyboard at a great price, even without the AC adapter, so I'm still happy with this keyboard.

My 8 year old wants piano lessons and decided to give her something with a little juice and flexibility. This is a great beginner key board. The whole family loves it.

It's a very simple keyboard, no doubt about it. But on the other hand, it is very easy to learn and navigate your way into actually playing this keyboard. I wouldn't plan on putting it in a studio or on a stage. But, I bought it for my little girl and we both love it. It's a lot of fun and very easy to learn with. Would recommend to any learner or parent for their child. Sounds nice too. The only drawback this keyboard has is that it doesn't come with an AC adapter. But I still give it five stars.
