5.0 out of 5 stars EXCEPTIONAL ACCURACY WITHOUT A BATTERY, April 13, 2010

I ALREADY HAVE AN ATOMIC CLOCK IN MY KITCHEN FOR REFERENCE. THIS WATCH IS DEAD-NUTS ON WITH ITS ATOMIC RECEPTION. BIG BONUS IS NOT HAVING TO CHANGE THE BATTERY. MY SON GOT ME AN ATOMIC WATCH WITH SOLAR BATTERY ABOUT 7 YEARS AGO. I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY FIRST CASIO AND DON'T EXPECT ANY WITH MY WIFE'S CASIO. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SET IT TO THE TIME ZONE YOU ARE IN WITH DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TURNED ON AND YOU NEVER HAVE TO TOUCH THE WATCH AGAIN. THE TIME AUTOMATICALLY JUMPS UP OR BACK AN HOUR WITH DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME TURNED ON. IF THE BATTERY STARTS TO RUN DOWN A LITTLE (ACTUALLY HOLDS CHARGE FOR 9 MONTHS) ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SET IT IN A WINDOW THAT GETS A LOT OF SUN, AND YOU HAVE A FULL CHARGE AFTER (2) DAYS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely Happy Buyer, April 29, 2010

I often get so wrapped up in my work that time tends to slip by unnoticed. Which wouldn't be so bad, except that I have to get home, let the dog out, start dinner,...etc. So when I shopped around for a new watch, I wanted an alarm. You know, it's really hard to find a watch with an alarm that doesn't look like it only belongs in a gym! I've been a fan of BabyG watches for a long time because of their near-indestructibility, but they usually look too young, like something a teenager would wear. This watch, because it's a neutral color with very little flash or bling, fits into my casual work wardrobe nicely. It keeps the date, has a count-down timer, a stop watch, world-time display, the absolutely necessary alarm, and this interesting (though not sure it's used) automatic atomic time synchronizing ability. All that information displayed one-at-a-time within a ¼ inch diameter circular cutout on the watch face, which I sometimes think is awkwardly positioned and too small. Every hour, the minute hand blocks part of this little window. So it's a good thing that I don't really use it that much. The awesome bonus to buying this watch, is of course, the solar powered feature. We'll see in a few years if the battery is still able to hold a charge, but in the mean-time, I'm an extremely happy buyer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it's supposed to do with style, March 5, 2010

Although a little pricey, with the solar recharging capability and automatic time set with the atomic clocks, this is a no brainer for someone who needs a stylish watch that essentially takes care of itself. Purchased for my wife at Christmas, she was totally happy and helped give the husband a bit of breathing space in the gift department. Once you get it setup, no need to do anything unless you live in the dark constantly. If you don't get enough sun, simply put it under a bright light for a coupla of hours and it takes care of itself. If I wore a watch I would buy one for myself.
