I had been looking for a gold digital watch for a number of years when I finally discovered this one - I don't understand why more aren't made - I want a functional watch that is nice enough to wear with a dress or out somewhere, that has basic features and can also be worn everyday - this fit the bill. It has the date, time, and an alarm. The only feature that it could benefit from is having a light. But I love the "timer" feature along the top - so much so that I am buying a second one. If I need to do something for 10 minutes, I always have a quick timer with me - one quick button pushed a few times gives you 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 minutes to an alarm. It's very quick and I find I use that feature often.

I have had about 5 versions of this same watch over the last 12 or so years. I LOVE the countdown timer feature for everything from baking to napping to walking to getting out the door. I know it won't last long if it is true to form, but I will always buy a new one if I can. This is far more attractive than the ones I have bought at retail outlets which had vinyl bands and all-black faces. I don't understand the people who say the band clasp doesn't work well. Works fine for me.

This watch I was really pleased with. It didn't look like a bulky sports watch and has a timer and a stopwatch. The reason I ended up not keeping it was because it DOESN'T have a light so it makes it hard to read when there isn't a lot of light and at night.

I wear a watch with all timers evry day. I was delighted that Casio finally put one out that isn't ugly, every day, black. Now I can wear my watch for dress and still have my timers, date, alarm, etc.

I found this watch years ago when I was working in ICU. 1 push of the button sets the countdown timer, which is indispensable for, well, everything when you have to remember everything. Now that I am old and losing my mind, (yet still working), it helps me remember all kinds of stuff. There is a stop watch and alarm that are also very simple to use. This is the easiest and most functional watch I have ever worn, and it is not a big ugly clunker, either. It is actually dainty, but big enough to see when you are old and half blind. To top it all off, it is one of the least expensive and well made watches around. Go for it.

Before I purchased this watch (several years ago) from Amazon, I looked high and low for a watch similar to the Timex watch I had, which simply just wore out. I literally looked for years!...and everywhere I went I was told the same thing: there were plenty of beautiful watches, but no dressy, goldtone digital watches...for WOMEN! I figured I couldn't be the only women who wanted a goldtone, dressy, digital watch! So I continued my search until I found this watch on Amazon. It is just what I wanted... and I love it!! AND I was happy to read the reviews and find that I was NOT the only woman who wanted this type of watch! I am buying another one today to have on hand in case something happens to the one I am wearing, because I never want to go without a watch like this again! I also love the hourly chime and alarm...AND that I can wear it into the pool, because it is water resistant! One thing that could be improved is to have a backlight to be able to see the time in the dark...and (because I am becoming more nearsighted), it would be great to have bigger numbers on the watch face and not so much black. I can deal with pressing a button to see the date,...BUT having the date on the face would be a nice improvement too. As far as the band goes, I always take the one off that comes with it and replace it with a stretch band, which I prefer...and which fits me better because I have such a small wrist.

This Casio product is my favorite watch. My purchase arrived promptly, in perfect condition. I love the countdown timer feature. I don't have to bother going into the alarm function to time a batch of cookies, remember to telephone someone, or turn on the TV at the start of a show. Highly recommended!

To understand my review, you need to understand my shopping method: quality, simplicity, & no compromises. When I'm looking for something, I take into account if I'm going to love it forever & if it's going to last as long as I love it. Even if I need something desperately, I will not settle on anything until I find the one that is just right. I think most people have had that moment when they're shopping and see the perfect version of what they're looking for, so you know the feeling.

I had that feeling when I found this watch. Ever since I received it, it hasn't left my wrist. The time display is perfect, I could program in the time without having to search through the little manual, it's that gorgeous color of gold that catches your eye, I don't have to fuss with the clasp one-handed because it slips right onto my wrist, but won't fall off, it will never clash with your waredrobe, it's slender design is very feminine & not bulky in any way like so many women's watches, it's water-resistant so you'll never stress about getting it wet & it doesn't get in the way. It's that accessory that you feel obscenely proud of & catch yourself staring at it, admiring every aspect of it's perfection: ladies, you know what I mean.

Personally, I was willing to pay whatever price for the perfect watch, but was delighted to find that it was so well priced for such quality. The photo isn't at all complimentary, so don't let it fool you. This watch is gorgeous. My satisfaction with this watch could be the basis for a romantic novel :).

Love this watch. Have bought about half a dozen through the years. I agree that all it needs to be perfect is a night light. I was very happy when this model came out but the watch band doesn't last very long before it loses its golden look and replacement bands cost almost as much as a new watch so I'm back to stainless steel. Why Casio doesn't make a fancier model with the same technology and market it as a Mother's Day Special is beyond me. There is no other watch out there with this great countdown feature.

I wore the watch twice and the clasp was faulty. I lost the watch that second wearing.
