I got this watch as a Christmas present for my mom so she wouldn't ever have to change the battery or adjust the time. This updated version with the black wristband is more practical than the one I got with the white band because it won't get dirty so quick. With solar power and radio signal time adjustments, this Casio is completely maintenance free. She loves it and it looks very nice. When first taking it out of the package, simply select your nearest major city and then the watch automatically adjusts the time, and that's it. On the little digital display window you can choose to display the time, name of the day of the week, calendar date, or seconds. If it's dark, press another button to activate the backlight for 1 second. This also has the full featured functionality Casio is known for such as alarm and timer. The solar cell is interesting because you won't see any typical looking solar cell, just a very nice almost-sparkling pearly gray face.

I bought this watch as a gift for someone. she loved the watch, especially the solar power feature and how easily it worked. However, she says she could not read the watch at night/in dark while using the backlight. I could see it okay, but admit her old timex indiglo was brighter and crisper. Other than, that for those with good eyes, this Casio is a great watch

This watch is EVERYTHING I hoped and expected it to be. It IS a sports watch, but the size of the face and band length are perfect for a woman. It is light-weight, very easy to read, and I would recommend it to anyone.

This watch is very comfortable to wear. Initially, I was a bit worried it was going to be too large since I have very thin wrists but it turned out to be very elegant. It's extremely accurate and has many useful functions. Just make sure that every night you take it off and place it near a window so it can self-adjust properly.

The Casio LWAM140-1A womens solar atomic watch is a very good product. Both the time keeping (Waveceptor) and solar battery functioned as advertised immediately out of the box (after setting up per instructions). The strap is comfortable, and also allows the watch to lie flat for overnight Waveceptor reception. The analog time is easily read. The watch is not exactly delicate but is adequately small for a woman's slim wrist, and is attractive in a sporty way.
A buyer should be aware that setup and operation of the watch requires detailed attention to the instructions - not for the technically faint hearted. Once setup, all is fine.
The digital display is a bit small and is only easily read under ideal conditions, with excellent eyesight.

The watch itself is nice, but the case leaves much to be desired. I was hoping the front bezel would be metal, and the face something other than plastic like the LWA120LA-1BV which you can't seem to find anywhere now, but we'll see how it holds up. The caseback is still stainless though. The hands don't have luminous paint on them either like some of the other models do, so you'll find yourself using the back light whenever it's dark.

It's a good watch, nice features, but I wish the case was something a little more durable. I got this for a birthday present for my sister, she likes it. It's small enough to fit her wrist, and not overly thick or covered with fake diamonds etc. Overall though, aside from the LWA120LA-1BV model (if you can find it, good luck), you'll have a hard time coming close to the styling and features this model offers in a ladies watch.

This watch is pretty much everything I was looking for. Solar power, perpetual calender, atomic, stop watch, alarm clock...etc, you name it. It looks prettier than it is in the picture. Totally worth the money. I just hope to get a metal band and a more scratch resistant surface (but I am sure if that exists, it won't be in the same price range).

Nice watch, works great and it is powered by a solar battery. Just a little on the big side for a woman's watch but not bad.

I adore that once the watch is set, I can forget about it. No winding, no batteries to replace, no remembering to set the time. It does it all. I had read that folks had difficulties with instructions, but I have not encountered that. The compact instruction book is straight-forward. My only pause was selecting my "time-zone city". I had to look at a time zone map to figure out which of the limited city choices applied, but that was not a trouble. Really, when I opened the box, the watch was set and running. The flexible, black plastic watchband is easy to adjust. I am very pleased.

Bought this item in January for my wife. She loves it BUT it refuses to switch to Daylight Savings Time. We accomplished it manually and requested information as to where to return it for replacement. She still has it so that part didn't work out. She still loves hers and so will you.
