In modern day France, Cassandra has been living with the Baron for more than 18 months. She might even have the record for the length of time she has been with the Baron. She is happy with her life but can see that something is just not as exciting for the Baron anymore. Then Nicola comes to live with them for the summer. The Baron is to introduce her to the pleasures of sex and he plans to have Cassandra assist in this training/introduction. Cassandra is concerned as this is how she came to live with the Baron 18 months ago, and then she replaced his current companion.

Cassandra's Chateau is a story long on erotic scenes that test the boundaries; its shortcomings are in the non-erotic parts of the story. I do think that the fact that Cassandra is to train her successor is also interesting, especially as she is not ready to leave, as she had developed a love for the one man who has told her she shouldn't. Cassandra's Chateau was an interesting read but doesn't make it into my top ten Black Lace titles.

Note: This book is seriously not for the under 18 crowd.

this was so bad cassandra was a robot with no feelings or emotions she just went along with whatever that jerk the baron wanted. this author needed to have cassandra show some emotion and tell the baron that she loved him. this was so stupid at the end cassandra stayed with the baron who wouldnt give her commitment she also gave a super sexy man who loved her she let him go to be with the baron. dont waste your money.

Read Cassandra's Conflict before you read this, and if you liked that one, I would definitely recommend the sequel! Cassandra's Conflict is one of my very favorite Black Lace novels, so I would recommend both of these very highly. Cassandra's Chateau is basically a continuation of the same kind of depraved eroticism found in that novel, except instead of the innocent rival to the Baron's mistress, Cassandra now finds herself switching roles. She is now the Baron's mistress and more worldly and jaded than she was in the first book, and she is now the one being challenged by an innocent newcomer. The Baron delights in pitting them against each other, ensuring that each woman will bring her best game to the competition. Cassandra has grown to love the Baron, even though he can be cold and cruel, and she is determined to outlast her competition. All in all, it's a fun sexy story, with plenty of control and humiliation and a variety of erotic scenes. Read the previous book first, and if you liked that, you should like this as well.

Fredrica Alleyn continues the heat in this one. I really enjoyed the read and did not put it down until I finished. Cassandra's adventures continue however, this time she has a bit more control than last. Ms.Alleyn does keep you on the edge of your seat wondering...will Cassandra win the next contest, does she want to, will the relationship continue to meet her needs, or are her needs changing...Read to find out, challenges abound!

If you like your erotic fiction a bit on the kinky side, look no further. This one has that but without the usual humilation that I don't necessarily like. I thought it read very well and I really got into the story, wanting to know where it was going. A good, solid erotica read, along with The Ninety Days of Genevieve (Black Lace).
