A really well written book, full of romance, and a mystery!
I recently just finished this book, and I couldn't put it down. It was a very well written and wonderful story. Carole Gift Page has a wonderful way of telling a story. You really get to know the characters. Hey, I think I know that guy!
This one was okay, but definitely not a favorite. There were just some things that were weird (relationships...you'll have to read it), and I didn't like how it ended for some people.
The cover has a classic paperback romance look, obviously. Funny thing is, I know a man who looks EXACTLY like the picture on the front! Haha.

A really well written book, full of romance, and a mystery!, July 22, 2001
This review is from: Cassandra's Song (The Minister's Daughters Trilogy #1) (Love Inspired #141) (Mass Market Paperback)
I recently just finished this book, and I couldn't put it down. It was a very well written and wonderful story. Carole Gift Page has a wonderful way of telling a story. You really get to know the characters. A young music teacher, Cassandra, falls for an Italian tenor named Antonia It's a very moving story, also there is a mystery inerwoven in the story, that keeps you guessing till the end. It was one of the few books I just couldn't put down. I wanted to get to the end to see what the mystery was about. If I could I would give it more than five stars, it certainly deserved it! I look forward to reading future books by Carole Gift Page, with these characters. There is a character in the story named Andrew, Cassandra's father. He really represents such a loving father. Anyone who likes a good clean romance novel, this is for you.

A Match Made in Song, July 8, 2010
This review is from: Cassandra's Song (The Minister's Daughters Trilogy #1) (Love Inspired #141) (Mass Market Paperback)
Often times the Reverend Andrew Rowland is at his wit's end. No, not trouble with his parishioners, trouble with his three grown up and meddlesome daughters. Didn't they understand that though his wife had been gone these many years, he didn't want another relationship. Being a widower suited him. Besides, he could never get over the only woman he's ever loved.
Cassandra knows how her father feels and she's vowed, along with her sisters, to cease and desist with the blind dinner dates, then at a concert given by the famous tenor Antonio Pagliarulo at San Diego State college, where she teaches, she meets this warm and gentle woman who she knows would be perfect for dear old dad. And wouldn't you know it, the lady is none other than the tenor's mother and before long Cassandra and Antonio are making music together, no not that kind of music, but the real thing, she on the piano as he sings for a crusade. Antonio knows she is falling in love, maybe he is too, but he has secrets, reservations, fears and you know how that goes.
And it goes very well in this finely written inspiration romance that I dearly loved. Cassandra was a divine character as were her sisters and father, Antonio too, and Juliana, his mother. I even loved Ruggs the dog. If you like inspirational romance, as I do, then this is defiantly one you want to read.

Cassandra's Song, November 14, 2009
This review is from: Cassandra's Song (The Minister's Daughters Trilogy #1) (Love Inspired #141) (Mass Market Paperback)
This was interesting story about three daughters who only want the best for their widowed father. The only problem is that their match making skills are causing trouble. When Cassandra and her sisters bring two women over for the same dinner, their father begs them to stop. In the process of match making Cassandra happens to meet a wonderful man named Antonio. But Antonio has secrets of his own. As he and Cassandra deal with their pain. Can they still find true love in one other? This was just an ok book. Not the most amazing story I have read by this author. Cassandra's fears often come out sounding whinny and often I found myself rolling my eyes. Still, the ending was sweet which is why I give it 4 stars.

Matchmaker, make me a match, June 3, 2009
This review is from: Cassandra's Song (The Minister's Daughters Trilogy #1) (Love Inspired #141) (Mass Market Paperback)
Insipid romance about a widowed minister, Andrew, and his three matchmaking daughters. One of them, pianist Cassandra, believes that warmhearted Juliana will make her father happy. However, she in turn falls for Antonio, Juliana's handsome son, an opera tenor. There's a lot of mistaken identity and wrong impressions here, most of which are Cassandra's doing, which in turn make her look both stupid and irresponsible. Why a handsome tenor would want a stupid woman like Cassandra is another question for another day.
