About the Author
William Lingwood, one of Britain's best-known names in food photography, didn't start that way. As an oil-worker in the Middle East, he discouvered the books of Elizabeth David and Jane Grigson, and the photography of Robert Freson and Tessa Treagar. In 1990, he hung up his desert boots and picked up a camera: his work now appears in magazines and books, including Ryland Peters & Small titles such as Cool Cocktails, Juices and Tonics, Dim Sum, and Pizza.
Sonia Stevenson is one of the great chefs of Britain and her restaurant, the Hom of Plenty in Devon, won huge accolades. She was the first woman chef in the UK to be awarded a Michelin star. She is an Honorary Vice President of the Master Chefs of Great Britain and a Chef Laureate of the British Academy of Gastronomes. Now retired from the restaurant business, she teaches enormously popular cooking courses in Britain and Europe. She has a number of books to her name, including The Magic of Saucery, which was shortlisted for the Andre Simon Award. She has also written "Casseroles" (Ryland Peters s Masterchef.
