Must Have!!!,

I discovered this artist by accident after seeing his "deconstruction" of HOVA's "Dead Presidents". To say that his classical piano interpretation & word play where phenomenal is to minimize how great of an artist he is; and how blessed we are to have Jay-Z.
No hyperbole - this brother is incredible! Beats are neck-cracking & his lyrical dexterity is very impressive. If you prefer the "Chinese Food" version of Hip-hop that currently permeates the airwaves then this is not the album for you. However, if you are a 1st generation Hip-Hop head who became disappointed with your first love named Hip-Hop then this is for you...the carnivores who require depth & breadth of scope with their music/meat!

Excellent return to old school NY style rap!,

This is a dope album. I have much love for it. It is one of the few albums that I play almost every day.
Refreshing and original -- this work is old school New York style rap style on another level. It is old school raw dirty city urban rap. Dope, legit, on point and tight -- without doubt -- yet still smooth enough to play in a professional setting (workplace) without causing issues with others. In fact this is the only rap album that I feel comfortable playing at work. I strongly suggest "Cassette City" to all who appreciate rap/hip-hop. It is a vital part of my collection.

Snappy wordplay and decent beats, I love it. The plus is that its not profanity laced. A few references to the party life but good stuff overall. Plus I downloaded the tracks for free from Amazon, well worth finding a hidden gem.
