4.0 out of 5 stars Very good but...., November 3, 2006
This review is from: Casshern: Original Soundtrack Complete Edition (Audio CD)
This is a wonderful score. But I must point out that the track 'Requiem' by japanese rock band 'The Back Horn' is not on it. This was a great dissapointment as it is this track that is playing during the film's most impressive scene, (when Tetsuya walks out of the flames to battle an army of robots). I believe there is a version of the soundtrack available with this song on it, but this 'Complete' edition apparently isn't it . People searching online for this popular track should also know that the band in question is called 'The BACK Horn' not 'The BLACK Horn' as some people believe.
Despite this missing track, it remains a chilling and atmospheric CD which I highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars ASTOUNDING!, March 10, 2005

This review is from: Casshern: Original Soundtrack Complete Edition (Audio CD)
Casshern, besides one of the (if THE) most visually stunning film ever made, has an incredible orchestral score. The 1st CD is mostly songs from various artists that appear in the film, but the 2nd CD is a JEWEL - the films entire original score, which is a musical feast you must hear to believe. It's hard not to compare the score to anything less than a masterpiece.
