5.0 out of 5 stars Will Cassie let her wild ways master her???
Cassie is the best book i have ever read! I have read about three times the amount a person my age should read (13) but countless people will agree with me. I have viewed so many different types and kinds of heroism, but in this breathtakingly real book, Cassie has mastered them all! She has courage, stability, two families, and she knows what the realy world is.

2.0 out of 5 stars Boring Sunfire
Typical Schurfranz entry in the Sunfire series where the heroine is very beautiful (and everyone comments on it at length) and can ride and shoot as good as any man. This time it's bow & arrow instead of guns, but that doesn't make much difference in the over-the-top "grrl power" formula Schurfranz employs yet again. The heroes are also slightly drawn (no surprise), with...

Yes she does become a traitor. But woudn't you do the same thing for the people who you live with? I know i would. She has learned to love the ways of the white man but still no one could forget the freedom of riding bareback on a galloping mustang with the wind in you face and a whole lifetime to enjoy it.

And she is brave once again when she has to choose between to men for the honest sake of love. I am a definite fan of Vivian schurfranz and hope one day to get around to write her a positive, verry long letter on how she inspired me.

If you love people who fight for what them believe in and they don't give up even when the going gets rough.... well, here is a book for you.

Thank you vivian it was truly an honor.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best book ever!, December 8, 1999
This review is from: Cassie (Sunfire No. 14) (Paperback)
"Cassie" was an excellent novel! The characters seemed to be so real, and I felt like I could relate to Cassie. She was strong, and she proved to her Indian rival she wasn't a sissy. This was just a GREAT book! I would recommend it to anyone!

This review is from: Cassie (Sunfire No. 14) (Paperback)
It all began when indians came into her home and took her away. They raised her and she gained the trust of the tribe, slowly, until Joshua, a fiery trapper comes and wants to bring her back to her original home in Three Pines. As she gets adjusted to colonial life she must choose who she will settle down with. Family friend Benjamin, or the handsome trapper, Joshua? Read and find out in this classic romance story that will rekindle your spirit of love and adventure!! Definitly a 5 star book!!!

One of the most historically interesting Sunfires. I enjoyed the details about Native American culture.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book, "Cassie" was wondeerful!, May 7, 1999

"Cassie" was so wonderful! Vivian Schrufranz depicts the life of Native American living in such a way that I felt like I was there the whole time I was reading it. I've read this book so many times from one of my teacher's personel library, that I almost know it by heart. I would love to own it and I am trying to get my mom to buy it for me. Mom, if you read this, you know where to get my book!

5.0 out of 5 stars The story of a girl torn between two worlds., February 16, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Cassie (Sunfire No. 14) (Paperback)
Cassie is torn between two different worlds. She barely recalls her capture by Indians when she was a little girl, and she has grown up and been taught in the ways of the tribe that captured her. But now she has a chance to return to her family....but at the price of seperation from her tribe and the ways she has always known. Cassie's white family acts loving, but Cassie finds it hard to return that affection, when her heart and loyalty is with her tribe...a loyalty that causes her to act foolishly.

This time it's bow & arrow instead of guns, but that doesn't make much difference in the over-the-top "grrl power" formula Schurfranz employs yet again. The heroes are also slightly drawn (no surprise), with Cassie making her choice late in the story when we all knew it was coming. The biggest disappointment was Cassie's introduction to white society after being with the Iroquois since she was four. It is no more bumpy than the usual teenager switching schools. It could have been done so much better. I ended up speed-reading this one from page 100 and don't think I missed much. I hadn't the patience to read it as thoroughly as I have the other Sunfires.

This book was fabulous! It told the story of Cassie, a pretty girl who was brought up by the Native Americans. She is brought back to her home where she finds one man longing to marry her. She feels affection for this man but yearns for another.

5.0 out of 5 stars great, March 24, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Cassie (Sunfire No. 14) (Paperback)
Even though I read this book a long time ago I still remember how good it was. It was the first romance book I read. I have a passion to read and wanted to buy this book, along with the other sunfire books, and was saddened to learn that they are no longer in print. Cassie is a must read. I'm heading to the library to check out this book.
