VEXT's "Cast the First Stone" is one of the hottest albums to hit the market in years. The lyrics are heartfelt and aggresive, the music is explosive, and well composed, and the production, and sound are immense. Vext really blends the melodic side of music with the heavy side in a most defining way. If your looking for brutal breakdowns, ripping guitar solos, and unforgetable chorus' to sing along to, then VEXT is for you.

I saw Vext back in 2000 and I was blown the f*&k away. What drumming, what guitar work, what vocals, and the bass; unreal. Cast The First Stone embodies the heart and soul of Brooklyn hardcore. The raw energy the band personifies makes me think of a time when rock was rock. Vext is bringing the hard rock scene back on the map with a innsousiant brand of rock n roll.

I have been following Vext since they were kids. They are men now and it shows in their music. The song Life's Embrace is the best I've heard on the radio in many years, as you all know there is not much to listen to out there. The entire album is a superior mix of hard rock and melodic expression's not heard in a very long time. I look forward to seeing them at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ on August 15th. Keep it up guys.

The album is killer starting wtih lyrics right down to the guitar. My favorite is lifes embrace a definite radio smash. the whole album is excelent, but it now because VEXT IS NEXT.

let me just say whats up to vext...haven't hung out with them in a while....this cd is so badass...awesome follow up to the climb engaged...keep it up guys
