I found Cast Iron Cooking very informative and filled with recipes I had never associated with cast iron. The recipes are clearly written and not complicated. I love the idea that I can do more with cast iron then just fry food. I would recommend it to everyone who has any cast iron cookware and is looking for new ways to use it.

I am returning to cast iron cooking. I researched several books about cast iron cooking and I found this one is the best. I highly recommend this book to either the new cast iron cook or those returning as am I. My own skillet dates to 1955 and I cooked everything in it.

I have a cast iron skillet that I use every so often. I bought this book and have become addicted to cast iron. I've fixed 3 of his recipes so far and they were terrific! I'm going to cook my way through every one. I hope he is cookin' up more recipes for a new book.

This is an interesting book, but you need to know this is not a "beginner" book for someone new to using cast iron. The recipes have several ingredients, and some pre-prep work, although none of them looked overly hard, and I didn't see a lot of really unusual ingredients either. Tried a couple of the recipes so far, and they turned out quite tasty, so I will be trying more.

Several of the recipes are on rotation at our house. I sometimes have to adapt a bit to fit Paleo diet. I have an expensive Le Creuset Dutch oven, and find that any of my Lodge cast iron works better. This book shows me I can make almost anything in cast iron.

I have purchased several books for cooking in cast iron, and though the instructions were excellent, I was often disappointed in the results. This book really includes wonderful recipes cooked in several different cast iron pieces....everything from skillets to Dutch ovens to woks to tagines! I have been impressed with every recipe I have made using this book, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys cooking with cast iron.
