This review is from: Casta Meretrix: The Chaste Whore (Paperback)
I specifically sought out this book, and paid extra for next day shipping, before the last Conclave that saw the election of Pope Benedict XVI. I wasn't disappointed. While the title may be surprising or off-putting to some, the whole idea that the Church has had a quantity of less than desirable persons associated with it over time, even in leadership roles, but that this in no way discredits the Church anymore than a bad Congressman discredits the idea of representative democracy in the United States, is a breath of fresh air from the recently overly apologetic Roman Catholic hierarchy. Bravo, Cardinal Biffi! |
