I havent read the whole sreies but this book is super awesome. Especially when Darby makes up with her cousin!!!!

I haven't had a chance to read these books, but I intend to do so. Each book describes an individual horse, has gorgeous cover photos, and is part of a collection of stories for horse lovers age 9 and up. They can be collected and enjoyed as a series or randomly read individually. However, I was hooked by the cover pictures, story descriptions and first page of each. I have given the entire collection to my granddaughter who eats and breathes HORSES and have started giving them to the granddaughter of a good friend of mine who also LOVES horses. This is a great gift for a horse-loving girl (stories are all about one girl who lives on her Grandma's horse ranch in Hawaii) AND a good way to get reluctant readers to read!!

The colt in this book is super lovable and the black sand beaches sound really cool.
Darby is out riding Navigator when she finds a cremello colt all on his own. It turns out that the colt belongs to Darby's aunt Babe who she meets in this book for the first time. Darby has to catch the colt before some one else does. some one else who only cares about the reward money. She also has to deal with Duxelle (Dew-shell) her cousin who is tall, mean and Darby accidentily gives the nick name "Duckie" too. I liked this book alot. and I'm going to buy it.

The girls are anticipating reading this book as they go from book to book
in this series. They love them.
