relaxing comfy chair,
This review is from: Castaway Swing Chair, Green (Lawn & Patio)
We have two of these hanging from our front porch. They are the best! It's so sad when it gets too cold to sit out on them...Sometimes I bundle up in a big blanket and go sit out on them anyway.
I'm hoping that someday I can figure out a way to use them inside (perhaps the rec. room in the basement wouldn't be too awkward) The gently swaying action is enough to lull you to sleep if you're not careful. Of course, just another reason to luv 'em.

Poor materials choice,

My largest complaint is that the angle of the chair would not stay fixed because of the way that the rope was spliced around the upper rod support. I would up wiring mine so that it would stay fixed. In addition the wooden support rods seem to fall out very easily. And finally the arms are up to high to use comfortably.

I bought this to replace a hammock chair which being 6' tall, was not comfy for me to stretch out in. This is far more comfy but it took me some time to adjust it so that it felt just right. If you look at the picture, the chair is shown more loungy (laid back) than mine which had the back of the chair more vertical. To fix this I had to wrap the front ropes around the front dowel 3 times and now it's perfect. Even the wife now sits in it (she never sat in the hammock chair).
The only minor complaint is the footrest dowel has a tendency to pop out too easily. Fortunately, not when you are sitting in it. For me it happens after the kids have played on it. Oh, and it is not the most visually appealing thing you'll ever see (it doesn't look like the picture when nobody is sitting in it). Instead, the footrest ends up inside the chair. Almost everybody that sees it for the first time calls it a contraption but they will admit it is very comfortable to sit in.

marvelous materials. good stiching. only complaint is that there is no locking mechanisim for the recline setting. i had to put rope clamps to keep it in an upright position. but other than that its good. also good solid wood beams all around. came with the cup holder arm rests and foot rest. fast shippers.
