I've had this book at home now for a couple of weeks and it gets rave reviews from everyone in the family. Kids will be enthralled by the artwork and the clever storyline told in rhythmic fashion will leave them in stitches. And I should add it's really quite amusing for adults as well. The pop-ups are so jaw-droppingly elaborate and detailed I'm amazed every time I flip through the pages. Highly recommended!

Both my 7 year old daughter and 4 year old son love this book. It is now a regular feature in our nighttime reading routine! The pop-up illustrations are great. Our kids love the story as well - now any mention of "stinky toes" has them giggling!

My two-year old loves this book! Great pop-ups and story. If your child is into pirates, or not, get this book. My toddler loves reading this over and over again.

My children enjoyed reading this book and looking at the beautiful illustrations. Very talented illustrator!! Highly recommend this book!

My daughter just turned three; we have had this book for months and months and it is STILL one of her favorite bed time stories. She can recite most of it now but prefers the 'and still the waters rose and the grey shark showed his nose' and the 'or its whey hey ho and down we go' lines (so I pause so she can sing these lines herself).

The pace is great, the wording and imagery is fun and the pop ups are spectacular (very detailed and intricate).

This has become my favorite gift giving book!

I was very pleased with the construction of this pop up book. This isn't your ordinary pop up book though. The height at which the characters jump off the pages at you is amazing. The characters are wonderfully illustrated and the colors are great too. The story has a repeating line, which makes it great for young readers to follow. My niece is three and she read it 12 times the first night.

I got this book for my grand daughter. She loves the story as well as the wonderful pop ups. Great book - well worth the money.

My daughter is 6 and wanted pop-up books for Christmas. This one in particular is very well done. Pop-ups are sturdy and the story is funny too. She loves them and we have read them quite a few times already. Great book!

A well written book. The pop ups were great and left my 4 year old nephew captivated. He enjoyed the story as well as the pictures. This book has become one of his favorites.

This is my second pop-up book. My first way destroyed by my grandchildren in short order, so this time, I'll show it to them any time they want, but they have to keep their grimy little hands off. Nice book with great pop-ups and a cute story. Recommended.
This would also be a good birthday present for your mother-in-law.
