The best,
This review is from: Castella: Italian Baroque Virtuoso Instrumental (Audio CD)
this record is together with viaggio musicale by giardino armonico the best instrumental programme of the italian seicento. when you hear maurice steger playing his recorders you can forget which instrument he is playing because he is enormous free in this music - the music by castello, pandolfi edal. is life! nice colors, perfect technique on the several recorders and bravo for the continuo group!

A very powerfull begining, beautiful. I did not like the late barroque stuff, the tempo was too fast and the music is not apropiate for an indiscrimitate abuse of virtuosity. Anyway la castella (the first piece) is worth the whole cd.
