A Platformer for all levels,
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse (Video Game)
The story of this game is simple, someone has kidnapped Minnie and you as Mickey must go save. The story of why I like this game is different, I bought this for my very young daughter. After turning it on and setting it to practice mode I watched as she simply walked from left to right with minimal effort to complete level one. Seeing this I was disappointed and decided to give the game a try on normal, a hour and a half later I had new found respect for this overlooked platformer. The diffuculty levels make this game perfect for varying skill level, children will enjoy practice modes simple easy play as they learn the basics, but crank up the difficulty and everyone who grew up on mario and mega man will find a hidden gem ready to be lifted to the light. For the Disney diehards trying to introduce the kids to video games here's a great jumping on point that you'll probably enjoy too.

I got this game for one christmas ( Don't Remember Which One ) and I had loved it when I was a child. Today I am to old for Mickey Mouse. I will be 23 on April 1st. For what I remember because I have not played it since I was a child that it had good controls and well animated chacters for that time. But with computers today they do much better amimation. And good graphics for that time but with todays graphics like in games for PS2 games they would be oudated. It had good colors I do remember. Over all it was a great game in its time. But don't compare to PS2 games. If you have a Sega genesis that you got when you were yonger and today you are married and have little tikes and can find this game then bye it for your little ones because I remember it was a not vilonent game because its Mickey Mouse. Your kids will injoy it. 5 stars for how good it was in that time. Thank You Vey Much. Have A Pleasent Year.

Castle of Illusion tries to hide its craptacular gameplay with the looks of a happy-go-lucky platformer starring the famous Mickey Mouse. Unfortunately, when you start to play this game, you'll see why licensed products were so agonizingly bad in this time period. The gameplay is far too simplistic, the gameplay feels broken at times along with the platforming, it is way too cutesy, the levels are very boring and uninspired, the controls don't seem to function properly at times during platforming sequences, the camera is bad at times, and the enemies are flatout stupid. The plot is only something that pisses me off as well. If you want a good licensed Disney game from this time, go buy the far better Aladdin. Now, if you'll excuse me I'm going to play something that is actually fun to play.
