Phryne delights again,
This review is from: The Castlemaine Murders: Miss Fisher's Murder Mystery 13 (Kindle Edition)
I've now read every book so far in the Phryne Fisher mystery series, and each has been an absolute joy.Elegant, fabulous and sharp-witted, the Divine Miss Fisher is on a family outing when she discovers a mummified corpse in a carnival ride. Of course, she can't let this go and becomes embroiled in a mystery that dates back to the previous century. Greenwood brings her family of characters and 1920's Melbourne, Australia to life in a charmingly brusque and witty way, with a turn of phrase that is simply delightful without being cloyingly sweet. Miss Fisher herself is exhilarating - charming, determined and sassy without becoming annoying. I highly recommend that you try this series today! |
