5.0 out of 5 stars Phryne delights again, December 29, 2011
I've now read every book so far in the Phryne Fisher mystery series, and each has been an absolute joy.

Elegant, fabulous and sharp-witted, the Divine Miss Fisher is on a family outing when she discovers a mummified corpse in a carnival ride. Of course, she can't let this go and becomes embroiled in a mystery that dates back to the previous century.

Greenwood brings her family of characters and 1920's Melbourne, Australia to life in a charmingly brusque and witty way, with a turn of phrase that is simply delightful without being cloyingly sweet. Miss Fisher herself is exhilarating - charming, determined and sassy without becoming annoying.

I highly recommend that you try this series today!
