This book is a tour guide to some truly wonderful places in Colorado. There are pictures, stories of the castles themselves, their ghosts and scandals. Included are fourteen castles that presently stand; some are open to tours and some are private. There are also descriptions of five that no longer stand, including great pictures I had never seen before of the ice palace in Leadville and pictures of the Presidential Summer Palace that never got beyond the drawing board.
I really loved looking into these incredible places

5.0 out of 5 stars Hauntingly beautiful book, June 12, 2009
This review is from: Castles of Colorado: Scandals, Hauntings, and Tales of the Past (Paperback)
Great book- lovely color photos of each castle. Very well-researched book. The author really did a great and very thorough job. I love the fact that the author adds in some known hauntings of some of the castles. Some that I didn't even know myself! I was very impressed with this book. Highly recommended.
