This is the best figure in the line. It is very detailed and a must have for a fan of the series. All figures are a bit delicate when inside their packagings, though, as the paint might rub off against the plastic. This happened with several of our figures from this series. He is very poseable, easy to pose as well, with excellent accessories.

Okay first let me give you a summary on how much this figure means to me. are you ready because this may be entense or intense...anyway here it is.

OMFG! SIMON BELMONT! I MUST HAVE!

After hulking out I ordered it and in a short period, and I do mean short, Simon Belmont was in my possession and I've loved this figure ever since. Now it's taken from the classic cover version of Simon from Castlevania and no others, i kinda wish it was Castlevania Chronicles or Simon's Quest because it's kinda weird having him pantless or with those underwear things, but the detail is just amazing. This is better than any Spawn figure I have ever seen and just wow, I love the detail.

And he comes strapped in a vampire hunter sense. He has Vampire Killer, the trademark of the Belmonts and has two of the three forms. The Basic leather whip and the flail. I wish they would have had the third and final form of Vampire Killer because it kinda feels incomplete but it makes up for htat with other weapons. You get a sword that comes out of it's sheath, and a dagger and a cross, the invicibility potion and finally the classic, the candle stick.

All fo this makes for something that brings back a nostalgic feel that for any Castlevania fan from any age, is a nice warmth. I'd recomend this figure if your a collector, a fan, or if you just want a figure. Also note that the articulation is good, you can move him into many poses, it's really an awesome figure. The hands are very stiff and you'll have to ease the weapons into their hands, it takes time and patience but just don't jam things in and you'll be happy with the results.

Im pretty impressed with these Castlevania toys. High quality and large. Reminds me of the old school toys from back in the seventies.

I am not a big fan on action figures but this was too cool to pass up.

This character is Simon Belmont, a legendary vampire hunter of The Belmont Clan. He was the first hero and playable character in the Castlevania video game series that goes back to the mid 80's. His fighting style and weapons (Most importantly the Vampire Killer Whip) became the staple of Belmonts to come. It's clear that NECA wisely brought back his classic design as seen on the NES boxart for the original Castlevania, while Konami keeps changing him in other games (his Judgment design was an insult).

Now on the toy itself, Simon is very detailed from his muscle tone to the texture on his armor. He comes with array of tools and weapons: Vampire Killer whip, chain fail, a sword, dagger(with removable sheath!), Boomerang Cross, potion, and a candle. (In the games, candles would drop power-ups when broken). Simon is also very flexible in his arms and legs, great for action poses

I have few cons with the toy though. I think it would have been nice to have a base for him to stand on (peg holes in his boots suggest they may were planing one) The box for the toy was pretty plain, he could have used a character profile to be put on the back.

All in all, this is a great action figure no old school Castlevania fan should be without.

I like the way he appears and the weapons he carries. Am a fan of the game so the only reason I bought it.

Purchased for my son. This is what he had to say: "About time they made a Belmont action figure. He comes with a lot of cool stuff - a mace on a real chain, vampire-killer whip, sword and dagger that can be removed from sheath, and traditional sub-weapons. Detail is good. I would expect no less from NECA, like all their other action figures."
