5.0 out of 5 stars Red for the holidays
To me they are basically the same as the herbal purple Pet Guard ones that I usually buy for my cats, only red in color. I specifically bought them for the holidays, as well as this is the first time I noticed them on AMZN, and fully expect them to work well. I buy C&P's catnip, treats, dry and canned food and NEVER have been disappointed nor have my cats!

Two of my four cats like these. I like the scent (it IS pennyroyal). And, yes, the red color looks good on the tuxedo cats. And I think it helps a bit.

Note, however that no flea repellent (as opposed to insecticide) is going to do a whole lot if you have a couple of thousand starving fleas in the house.

BUT...

One of my cats...

It smells really strong. That's about it. I can see fleas running around and on the collar and nothing drop dead.

I tried these collars but was a little skeptical, my cats have sensitive skin and other collars were a nightmare as were the drops. I was very surprised. They smell nice, last a very long time and my cats have had zero issues with them. They used to run when it was time to do drops or change collars but these they actually run to! They love on the packaging. They are very comfortable, no irritation of skin. I couldn't be happier. I recommend to anyone who has similar issues or just wants a natural alternative to chemicals

Purchased these collars before, directly from the vendor. However when they discontinued them, I couldn't find any alternative. Was glad to find this product on Amazon. Works well, smells great and looks good on your cat. I'd recommend it to anyone.

BUT...

One of my cats cannot stand a collar, ditched it herself without problem.

And, possibly more seriously....

I suspect that another cat is very sensitive to the pennyroyal scent. And had diarrhea for a long time before I figured it out. He seems to be OK with the dogs having their larger collars and the two mostly outside cats who are still happy with theirs.
