This is a lovely book. I own a copy and bought a couple extra as gifts for my cat-loving friends. It's a beautiful ode to our loving feline counterparts. The book has illustrations of cats with wings. One of the many thought-provoking quotes is: "I know that God is depressed and needs cheering. Why else take this kitten I cherish so?" (Epitaph in a Pet Cemetary.) There's so many more statements, from Charlton Heston to John Ritter. Buy this book, curl up with your furry friend and peace to you.
Be forewarned athiests: you may find the book uncomfortable as a great deal of references to the spiritual, Bible and God are scattered throughout the book.

This little book is wonderful and enlightening to all cat lovers and animal lovers. I came across this delightful little book in an office recently. After several searches of numerous book stores, only to my disappointment to find it out of print. I can only hope this little "angel" of a book will reappear, not only for myself, but all those whom are seeking this joyous piece of writing.

This book will be loved by all cat lovers. Everything from the illustrations to the to the stories has been a great comfort to me after losing my feline" friend" of 16 years. It has even been a delight while getting to know my new feline "friend". I just wish it was still in print I would like to have some copies for some friends.
